This is the first of two Paragons I'm restoring. This Paragon is just about done (you can see previous posts for more detailed pictures and videos). In the past, I had mixed reviews on my LED placements for the back glass. Here's what I have now on the back glass LEDs:

- Paragon letters: Green to highlight the green lettering
- Lion: a few Yellow to highlight lion color. The mouth of the lion has a white LED.
- Bally title: 2 Red LEDs to bring out the red lettering.
- Red background: Used Red LED above knight's head.
- Tilt: Red LED
- All other Areas: Use super bright white LEDs. Includes main knight, young maiden, high score, extra ball, ball in play.

Do you like this setup or have other recommendations? Some said they prefer just straight white.

Here's a picture:

IMO, it would look better with all Frosted Warm White LEDs.

I've also heard good things about the Retro Warm White LEDs, but I've never tried them for a backglass. Maybe someone else who has can chime in.

I've got to be honest, that backglass looks like ass.

Why have such a beautiful work of art, if you are going to trash it up with the clown puke colors?

Some backglasses simply don't look good with LEDs and Paragon is one of them.

No LEDs can better this artwork.

Thanks. Good points.

Thanks guys. I'm going to put all white and post to show difference between the colored LEDs and just white LEDs.

Make a third shot with real incandescent bulbs - that is what Mr. Faris based his color pallet upon, and so far, no LED can do that rich color.

I'm with Vid all the way on this one.
When they invent a led that mimics the warm glow of a squiggly filament in a glass vacuum I'll change.
LEDs just don't suit most games of this era.
