Hello everyone. I bought a pretty clean paragon in non working condition and I'm trying to get it going again. The mpu was rebuilt by Barakandl and the solenoid driver. Oats and rectifier board are both brand new along with the female plugs on the rectifier board. We were able to get the game to boot up and go in attract mode and start a game but no solenoids work except for the coin lockout and knocker. Every switch scores points like they should but that's about it. I checked all my test pints for correct voltage and everything tests where they should. I also checked the fuse under the play field and it test ok out of the game, and I also tried a new one just for safe measures. Still nothing. The only issue I have not got around to doing is fixing the right side flippers. The solenoids are missing but I figured it would still allow everything else to work. Does this need to be a complete circuit for all the solenoids to work? What other things can I check?

Is there voltage on the solenoid lugs on the playfield?

I had something like this on my Mata Hari. Check for Voltage at the fuse. That factory fuse holder is janky as heck. On Mata Hari the power went from a flipper coil to that fuse. I had flipper power, but no playfield solenoids. My problem was the connection of that wire that went from flipper coil to the under playfield fuse holder.

Edit, did you say you have something wrong with your flippers too? It looks like power goes from the Left Flipper to Right Flipper To the Playfield Fuse. Look at the Switch Matrix Page in the Schematics. That fuse and the power to the solenoids is the top item in the middle of the page.

Yes,the right side flippers are missing the solenoids completely. I wasn't sure if that would play a part in nothing working at all or not

As long as any wire that goes to one of the lugs, and then leaves it to go somewhere else, is attached together, then you're fine

So do you have left flippers? If so the problem is between the Left and Right Flippers, probably the wire between them.

Problem solved!!!! Not having anything connected to the right flippers caused none of the solenoids to work. It must require a complete circuit?

Everything is working great and playing like it should!!! Thanks for all the help!

Awesome! Right now a guy is totally belong me out with some ROMs. Feels good to pay some of the karma back to the community. Like I said, I had the same thing a few weeks ago.

Good luck with Paragon! It is an awesome pin and was my first machine I ever owned.

That wire is the power. It connects to the fuse under the playfield and then the playfield solenoids. That's why the knocker worked. It wasn't in the playfield. You should check out the shematics on IPDB for more info.

I really appreciate it. I was completely stumped on this. It makes sense though after thinking about it.
