Quoted from schwarz:Finally back in after selling and regretting.
Wow! That's a gorgeous Paragon! Well done.

Yeah lucked out on this one.
The inside is almost as nice as the outside.
Just picked mine up. Extremely nice cosmetic condition, just needs a good shopping.

I’m still looking for one.
I had to look for a couple of years for mine...and even then I had to talk the seller into it after several months.
Quoted from wayinla:Where the heck are you folks finding such nice Paragons? I’m still looking for one.
Mine is a lot more "battle tested" lol, and not nearly as nice as the last couple posted. But it plays OK.
I bought it from a friend of mine.
Now if only I could get the Alltek board to cooperate and actually adjust the game settings when I change the dip switches. Grrrrr.
Hope to have a bit more time this weekend to troubleshoot, and if I'm unsuccessful, probably contact Alltek after that.
I nailed the rare Paragon trifecta today. Good unfaded cabinet, Pf with mylar and a mint BG. Nicest of the 3 I've owned. But since I have a fully restored one already, this one will hit the marketplace soon. Pics to come!
Woohoo! Paragon playfields are shipping from CPR! Just got my email and payed. Sounds like they’ll be doing them in batches, so if you’re on the pre-order list start counting your pennies.
Anyone have an extra little dog-bone shaped plastic that goes right in front of the pop bumper over the target?
Did you have to sign up for the playfield in order to get one? How much? I didn't see any info on their website.
Yes there was a pre-order running for years. However if you didnt get on the list, I believe the new CPR model will make you a digitally printed one. Not sure on the lead time but it should be available.

I should, let me look.

I'm skepical of the new digital printed PF's from CPR. I got one of the last of the silkscreened Playboy's. Drop dead perfect. 3 weeks ago I got a digital Playboy to swap for a customer for a game he bought from me. Not nearly as nice. Registration errors everywhere plus I can feel some inserts under the clear. And the price increased $150! I did notice the digital version no longer have a grading stamp, like gold, silver and bronze.

I saw this on eBay:

Repinning my MPU connectors and seem to have miscounted on J3 without realizing it. Can anybody take a quick snapshot of the wiring for J3 on the MPU board and share when they have a moment? Much appreciated!

Need to re-pin mine as well in the future.

Appreciate the photo! Just what I needed!
Unfortunately, re-pinning didn't resolve my issue.
Player 1 display will (usually) display absolutely nothing or (sometimes) all zeroes. I've re-pinned J1-J4 on the MPU board and tried swapping the displays themselves around. Each display is independently functional, but always the same behavior for Player 1. What should I try next? New molex connector to the P1 display?

If you have used the alltek in another game, you may need to do a ram clear, then set it to Paragon. That can resolve weirdness.

All original boards for now!

Try a new connector for the display and reflow the folder on the display pins.

Did some extra rubbing and tugging on the connectors and everything's back in business!
Price lowered on a nice clean Paragon:

Good price and nice looking game. If you weren't seven hours one way away I'd buy it. GLWTS
While trying to be patient waiting for my (supposed) preorder Paragon PF from CPR, I discovered that I had ordered two sets of drop targets and pop bumper caps.
Since I have no need for the extra set, I‘m wondering if anyone here could make use of them.
Can anyone comment on the quality of the new CPR Playfield yet? Hope I get an email on the next wave! Had my preorder in on the first few days.
Very nice work tatman9999! What rubber did you use? And where did you get the colored caps for the plastics?

Pinball life clear rubbers, pinballlife color acorn nuts.

There should be a solid red post (Not translucent) on the right hand side of the spinner.
Was there a solid red post in your mix?
Joined the club today.
A local collector picked up this Paragon a year or so ago out here and I had expressed interest in buying it a couple times.
He hit me up this morning asking if I was still interested and dropped it off this afternoon.
Pretty nice looking machine all in all. Has the wrong apron on it (which I will be replacing). Also has the wrong drop targets, so ill order new ones.
Other than that it’s a really nice machine.

Any one have thoughts on getting powder coated or brass rails and legs? Or keep it silver

To each his own, I like the classic look personality.
Any reports on those of you getting your Cpr playfield? I missed the train and I’m starting to regret it

I like the original

Change it to whatever YOU like,If your going to keep the game forever? If you don't keep games very long, I would try to keep it as original as possible.

I got my CPR and did the swap already. Working on my cabinet. I hope to have it up and playing this weekend. The playfield is really nice. I am excited to play this beast without sunken inserts, etc.
Can you post some pics of the Playfield . Love to see, waiting well over 3 years . We’re you on the original pre order list Xenon75
