I'm in! I love mine. I hope to be starting my full restore soon on mine. The playfield is in good shape, just needs some minor work and then it will get a clear coat. The cabinet needs a full restore and paint job though.
I'll be clearcoating mine at some point also, my middle Paragon inserts are a bit cupped. Couple places of wear that could use some love as well.
Now your just showing off schwarz.... I am jealous! Is that your new Centaur off to the side acting as a toolbox?
Quoted from Squeakman:Is that your new Centaur off to the side acting as a toolbox?
Hell no, I could never do that. That's my poker table with removable tiles...
Besides you turned down a Paragon awhile back, no club for you Squeak.
Quoted from trilogybeer:Yes . pics.
More cab painting pics, please. Where'd you buy your stencils?
Btw, I'm in the club but still slowly doing the touch-ups.
Quoted from OTTOgd:Where'd you buy your stencils?
I got the stencil kit with one of the Paragons I bought , But it was a Pinball Pal- generation 2 stencil kit . Not sure if this kit is still available form them or not .

Are you wondering about the base color ? or the speckles ?
Quoted from schwarz:Goldschlager paint thinner?
Ha ! yeah drink too much of it and the paintjobs get worse .
Hey schwartz, I want in!
Quoted from trilogybeer:I'm in. Paragon has the best all around art package(cabinet, backglass , and playfield )on any pinball machine ever.So true Trilogy! Especially when it looks like yours! Schwartz I wish my Embryon looked like yours!

=================FREE ALERT================
Ok gents ... FREE to a club member in need. I have a Paragon backglass that's pretty ugly up close (seriously bubbled with touch-ups and fade, but looks decent once lit up. Pickup only in Northern NJ ... sorry, just can't swing the time, hassle or risk to ship this.
Here's a far-away shot ... sorry, it's all I have.
EDIT ... correction, forgot I took these two...
IMG_9033.jpg IMG_9032.jpgFree backglass! Some lucky pinsider should jump on that deal.
Hey, I'd like to join the Paragon club! Mine isn't as nice as some of yours, but it's a solid player. I did find a used playfield that I touched up/cleared. It playes great, but it's not a professional job by any means. I'm tempted to try again with the original playfiled (it's in better shape then the one I cleared)...but doing another playfield swap isn't something I want to tackle right now. Maybe if I can find a good NOS, or if CPR eventualy releases Paragon playfield I'll consider it. Anyway, here's a few pics of my Paragon.
DSC01563.jpg DSC04687.jpgKevin from CPR just posted the full scoop on the roadmap for Paragon playfield reproductions. Some challenges, but very promising...

I am a member too! My machine is not as nice as the ones posted here, but it works 100% after replacing a few transistors. Here are some pics of my Paragon. I haven't seen one with the blue frame around the backglass. I wonder if it is original or what the deal is.
The wear around the inserts is annoying and I would love to hear how Trilogybeer fixed his. Right now I placed a screen protector for an ipad over the wear area so I can play with no fear of further damage. Not the greatest fix, but OK for now.
It was my first machine. I got it about a year ago.
IMG_0026.JPG IMG_0019.JPGI'm all in guys ... just plunked down the bucks for an NoS playfield, and I'm working to line up a premium restorer for a proper resto and clearcoat. 34 years of storage does not make for a play-ready playfield.

My playfield looked about the same as yours so it is possible to restore , just time consuming. I Flattened the playfield and inserts out with clearcoat and sanding .I made stencils for the rings around the inserts and airbrushed the rings back on Other areas some was touched by hand using a brush and airbush. Text and numbers I also made stencils for but If you notice on my finished playfield it is missing the white "thousands" in the arches below 20,30,40. That text was too small for me to create a stencil for , I knew I was keeping this playfield and I was alright with having those missing for a game I was keeping for myself . They could be done with decals but I like to keep all my work done in paint .So instead of decals I would make a silkscreen for those and I will at some point and put them back on ,but for now I'm just enjoying the game.

Welcome to the club. Read as much as your can before your restore. Lots of great info here on Pinside to do the job right. Also check out great sites like Pinwiki for more technical and troubleshooting info.

Christmas arrives early Paragon fans. NoS playfield arrived from California today. Compliments to the seller as this really is quite beautiful ... and was packed to survive a nuclear attack. Giddy with happiness.
FedEx Dropped this off ... my dog Dex does the bomb/drug sniffing check. All good. Proceed to the unwrapping

THIS is how you pack a rare playfield. Nicely done eBay seller. Admiration.

Outside in the sunlight ... a thing of beauty. In my humble opinion Paul Faris is the tops in pinball art.

Backlit inserts. 35 years old and still crisp.
