This is too long a thread to read it all but great post by OP. I don't begrudge anyone for trying to make a few bucks. But in the end it's about the love of the game. Play and have fun!

the problem is, that chicago extends about 50 miles in every direction, so this North east corner of the state is all chicago style traffic. Which is even worse out by cities like mc henry, de kalb and such. Seems everyone turns into Driving Ms. Daisy as soon as you get in those cities, as everyone drives exactly the speed limit or under. Holy crap, would it kill you to drive 5 or 10 miles over the limit like a normal person?
"Best of Pinside" for sure.
I would definitely advocate for some kind of section on pinside where the best posts of all time would be archived.

(Illinois - Chicago) = boring farmland, boring cities (Normal), and East St Louis. No thanks. Chicago might be full of crazy people, but at least it's interesting.
