I saw that PAPA worlds was coming up. I'm not very (at all) familiar with how the tournament is run, but was thinking of making the drive up just to hang out and watch/learn and play some games. I was poking around on the website and the impression I got was that the PAPA HQ is open to the public for the duration of the tournament to observe or play games for fun/free. Also, it sounds like if I got the bug to play in D division, all I would need to do is show up and pay for the entries (no qualifying etc.). Can anyone confirm my understanding of how this works? Much appreciated!

Yep, you got it. When I went there three years ago, games were set to take tokens. I believe they said all games on free play... but not sure if they take voluntary donations at the door now. You can enter the tournament in D division as long as you're not ranked in the top 10,000 IFPA (or something like that).

Awesome! It seems like a good day trip just to go knock around - thanks for the info!
