Quoted from RustyLizard:No, you don't get it. It's not in my mindset to even think of suing others. If you ran me over with your car on purpose, that is a reason to sue you. If I venture into a place that I am not physically capable of navigating or am not carrying the proper equipment to do so, that's on me.
Some businesses or organizations create hazardous situations or are negligent. There's a fitness place near me, surrounded by a bunch of businesses. While all other businesses in the areas maintain their sidewalks during the winter - shoveling, salting, this gym does not. If someone slipped on the ice and was seriously injured, they're well with-in their right to sue. There are laws in place - http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/snow/shovel/sidewalks_snow-shoveling-rules
