OK - I turned down buying the machine since I could not get a lot of responses from anybody. He is wanting to sell, its a beautiful example, and there's only one other known machine - I think it was at Marvin's in Michigan. This machine does not have the original wooden legs, it has chrome legs. Other than that, it looks pristine.
The game partially works - it sounds like a stepper unit is stuck - you can hear it trying to index as the bumpers are hit, but nothing lights up on the backglass. The playfield looks great, although the colors on the bumpers are faded. The coil spring sides are all there, and not rusted out. The backglass looks great - no missing paint sections.
The inside looks very clean - surprisingly clean.
The story is this was in a New Orleans bar way back when - he bought it because it was part of an "All or nothing" deal. When the Mom died, (Age 96), the kids agreed to sell house and contents - the machine was part of a lot that included other coin operated devices. The machine was brought home from their bar to save it from being destroyed by the police, and sat for many years. The buyer does not want it, and won't let his kids touch it because of the age.
He is asking $750 firm, and is open to trades for a machine of equal value. It sounds like he would prefer a solid working EM game - I think Wms. Derby Day (1967) is what he remembers playing, but is open to others - 1970's - 1980's vintage. He does not have any experience working on pinball machines, hence it has to be solid.
This machine (He thinks) is a tribute game named after Cab Calloway's Minnie the Moocher song. (He was referred to in the Blues Brothers movie). He also has the flyer and the Electropak information - Electropak was what replaced batteries in this era of machine.
Jason is in Gulfport, Ms, and does not want to ship. He can be contacted on Facebook.
If someone gets this, please share with group or PM me - I wanted it, but in the end, I think I would get bored with it, and I don't get much joy out of having something that I can say I have it, and hardly nobody else has - it just seems like bragging to me.
I think this machine needs to be someplace where it can be shared. Hopefully, whoever gets this feels the same. Make sure you upload pics to IPDB.org
Here's a video of the machine. https://www.facebook.com/messenger_media/?thread_id=3150536085026860&attachment_id=1663278183837642&message_id=mid.%24gAAsxZVgzOCx5cccMeVzQIEwYG9iC
