Has any one had any success painting or powder coating ramps and habitrails. I would love to make the metal bits in my taxi yellow like they are in the example on the gallery page here. I think it lookssupersharp!

I called the powdercoating place and he did not recommend powdercoating something that is already chrome plated.

    Any experience stories to share?

I would assume powdercoating would be more durable in the long run. I think the Taxi you're referring to once belonged to errak who is a member here. He could probably chime in or you could send him a pm to see what he did for his habitrails.

Wow, that taxi does look sweet. Ive heard of people getting them powder coated with good success. Good luck and put up[ some pics if you try it.

Take them to a chrome shop and thay can remove the chrome, then you can have them powder coated.

Powdercoating holds up and sure makes them look spiffy. There's a member on the Florida Collector's Board called GameDoc that does powdercoating services. Does good work to and stand-up guy: http://www.villagebbs.com/forum/index.php/topic,10120.0.html

powder coat - we just did the bright green ramps to batman forever and they are better then when the game was made - think it was 65 bucks for all the ramps/wireforms - and there are a lot of them in that game
