Quoted from V4Vendetta:

Hey Everyone,
new member to Pinside and pinball collecting in general. Always loved playing in arcades and wanted one but didn't have the means or space for a pinball machine but now little older and wiser and moving to Seattle from eastcoast to a bigger house, seemed like a perfect time.
I just have couple questions.
1. Is it just my imagination or does eastcoast hoard pinball machines? I seemed to remember seeing abundant amount of pins for sale when I lived in DC compared to NW.
2. Can anyone recommend a good place to inquire in-house servicing?
Thanks everyone.

they are my first pick for repair http://www.pinheadspinball.biz/

Quoted from dasvis:

Damn, I could literally walk over to your house with my hand truck & pick it up, but my wife would crap a brick if I came home with another one.

+1...

#1337 8 years ago

already getting one pin from the same seller in a diff container order but for a pinball you want as a project it isn't bad.

#1341 8 years ago
Quoted from Jweiler:

Curious if you know and trust that person. The whole "hurry up and give me money for a thing on Craigslist" seems a little sketch. No?

I don't know him directly and we have our own half container deal with different people. I meant we know the original seller in Italy.
though I have heard James is legit but I have not dealt with him directly?

#1346 8 years ago
Quoted from Mbecker:

Who's the James that everyone knows?

I am planning on meeting him if this goes through. Sounds like he just wants to sell 5 pins or so to get some cash.. then evaluate the rest once they come in and I'm sure he'll sell off more then - but at much higher prices.

Any higher won't be great, lots of work on these machines. The one is bought is one I have wanted for a while to be a personal project

Creature From The Black Lagoon, Bally DMD

Nice creature from the black lagoon machine. It has been fully LEDed with LED strip on the central ramp. The hologram is very bright and original faded one comes with it as a spare. This machine is a re-import from Canada so it has a 3 slots coin door. The cabinet art is original with very nice color. Small dings here and there but overall 7/10. The playfield is great, no issue at all, with a Cliffy on the scoop. Sign of wear on the shooter lane as shown on the pictures. Boards are working without issues, no hack, no burnt connector and with an external battery holder installed. Asking $4,800

Also in a different style I have a nice EM for sale, changing the line up a bit!

Aladdin's Castle, Bally EM

Very nice and fun 2 player Bally EM machine, pretty rare! Purchased straight from Sunny SoCal, cabinet is very solid with nice and bright color. Understandable amount of wear due to age. The playfield looks great, no real wear to the art. Back glass is as brand new, not a spot of flaking and very bright! The machine went through a nice tune up and ran without one issue during a 3 day long tournament. Asking $900

Selling a Hot Doggin:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/pnwpinball/permalink/2079180822116188/

Selling a rare Bally widebody "HOT DOGGIN" pinball machine. The machine has just been through the Northwest pinball championships without any issue, it plays SOLID.

New playfield glass, new rectifier boards, rebuilt power board and connectors, external batteries on MPUs, new drop target set, new set of 4 pop bumper caps, full rubber kit, all flippers have been fully rebuilt with complete PBR biscuit kit instead of unreliable heavy linear ones. New backbox and playfield GI LED.

The Cabinet is solid with some scratch, a small chunk is missing near the back left leg.
The Backglass is good with a little flaking at the bottom near the game over and the center.
The playfield has serious wear spots that have been repainted by hand. Not the best work but the machine come with a spare playfield that is much better. It could be swap as is with a few worn off inserts or given some TLC to make it even better.

Selling a very fun Bally "OLD CHICAGO" EM pinball machine. The machine was fully rebuilt by Pinball Tim, the EM repair wizard of the PNW. It has just been through the Northwest pinball championships without any issue, it plays SOLID.
Great game but I have a few more coming and space is limited so I have to sale a couple machine.

This is an original playfield, it is in a VERY GOOD condition. It has no touch up and only has minor wear near the pop bumpers at the top left, overall 9/10. Original plastics still used in the games as they look great and none are broken. All mechs were disassembled and fully cleaned during the repair.
Rebuilt power connectors and fuse clips for strong snappy flippers, new drop target set, new set of 5 pop bumper caps and skirts, full rubber kit, new plastic lane dividers throughout, spinner was repainted, all flippers have been fully rebuilt with complete PBR kit.

Replacement CPR backglass, GORGEOUS!

The Cabinet is solid and only minor scratches considering its age. Overall very clean cabinet inside and out with fadded color.
$1400

If you are interested in adding a pinball to your house until the scene ramps back up, I still have some machines for rent, a couple more spots before i hit my logistical limit
Most of the more modern LCD and DMD were the first to go but I still have some like World Cup Soccer, Funhouse and a great selection of Solid states and EM machines...

You can contact me directly at [email protected] for up date to list and pictures.
Monthly rental start at $150 with a minimum of 3 month commitment. 10% discount if you rent more than one machine. Rental would need to be within 40 miles of 98052. Delivery to your house is possible at a fee.

Rental will be contracted using standard equipment rental T&C's. This will be under my restoration company (seattlepinballservices.com), which fully licensed and insured for this activity.

Here's what I'm looking for:
-Good condition/recently shopped since I don't know much about maintenance yet.
-Budget is around $3,500, give or take.
-Pins I'm interested in (but not limited to) NBA Fastbreak Tales from the Crypt Last Action Hero Demolition Man Royal Rumble (WWF) Baywatch World Cup Soccer The Shadow
Thanks!

Putting for sale my Stern Classic Dracula solid state machine,

Good condition early Stern Solid state game, a title you do not see too often for sale.
The machine plays great, I just do not have enough space for all my games... The playfield is in a decent shape with some wear and Mylar-ed area and the cabinet colors look great. The backglass has some small section flaked off but looks good for being an original.
The flippers play strong, the plastics are good and the targets replaced. The rectifier board was replaced and the displays fixed or repaired. New rubbers on the machine as well.
$1,200

One of my rental client was asking, what are the current best/cheaper options for Stern NIB delivered in the Seattle area?

#3859 3 years ago

Posting here before the main Market place:

Stern Magic SS, $1,500
One of my favorite early Stern Solid state game, I have been on the fence about selling this for a while but I really need the space and the cash for new machines coming soon.
The playfield is good and the cabinet is solid as well. New rubbers on the machine with LED in the GI, the flippers were also recently rebuilt and you can rip these spinners nicely!
Great original backglass, 0 flaking just some chip near the trims, displays are solid, no burn and were reflown, credit/ball display is a new replacement, LED in the head.
New Altek MPU and a Coin-Op repaired SDB and also a new rectifier board with new connectors.

Great game on this machine at the last NWPC:

HQ pictures:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ahxi0c_5v2PVpocuL4Dd272cVaiL_Q?e=tbAVNY

Stern Wheel of Fortune, $4,200
Great condition fun Stern machine from 2007, fairly rare title which would fit great in an existing collection.
The machine plays great, it was a recent reimport, it was fully converted (new power cord, fuse, MOV, convenience outlet, Ballast etc...) and behave like any other domestic game now. It comes with the "updated" home ROM but the latest "official" release can be installed very easily.
I am making space and raising $ for a couple other games coming soon.
The playfield is in a great shape, it show very low level of play. I shopped the topside of the playfield, taking everything off to clean it, convert it all to LED lights and putting new PerfectPlay rubber all around. I have also rebuilt the flippers with a rebuild kit, they are plenty strong.

Quoted from DumbAss:

I normally do not reveal prices I paid for machines but the prices were publicly available at the time of purchase. I have also come to realize that even if you know what someone paid for a machine years ago it bears no relation to the present day market value of a machine as well as include any work that may have been done to the machine in the meantime. I'm guilty of having quite a number of machines that were unloaded and have sat untouched (for years). I have too many other things I am in the middle of. Some of them I should be doing instead of posting here.
I have taken part in four of the container buys - including the very first one. I am also crazy enough to have recorded all the prices I paid for a machine at the time of purchase. It definitely makes it very interesting to see what has happened to the asking price from the first buy to the latest buy. It closely follows the principle of "raise the price and if it sells then great otherwise lower the price until it sells".
2015-10-07: container delivery date
- The Addams Family for Euro 2,185 = USD 2,450 with shipping USD 210 (condition 3/10)
- Twilight Zone for Euro 1,900 = USD 2,125 with shipping USD 210 (condition 3/10)
- The Lord of the Rings for Euro 3,325 = USD 3,725 with shipping USD 210 (condition 6/10)
- Theatre of Magic for Euro 3,705 = USD 4,150 with shipping USD 210 (condition 8/10)
2016-12-06: container delivery date (shipping cost was higher due to customs hold over Thanksgiving)
- Doctor Who for Euro 1,520 = USD 1,650 with shipping USD 400 (condition 4/10)
- Creature from the Black Lagoon for Euro 2,565 = USD 2,825 with shipping USD 400 (condition 6/10)
- Indiana Jones (WMS) for Euro 3,515 = USD 3,875 with shipping USD 400 (condition 7/10)
- Theatre of Magic for Euro 3,895 = USD 4,275 with shipping USD 400 (condition 7/10)
- Scared Stiff for Euro 3,610 = USD 3,975 with shipping USD 400 (condition 7/10)
2017-11-25: container delivery date
- Bram Stoker's Dracula for Euro 2,160 = USD 2,600 with shipping USD 200 (condition 6/10)
- Bram Stoker's Dracula for Euro 2,070 = USD 2,475 with shipping USD 200 (condition 5/10)
- Junk Yard for Euro 2,520 = USD 3,025 with shipping USD 200 (condition 5/10)
2019-11-16: container delivery date
- Dirty Harry for Euro 2,090 = USD 2,400 with shipping 250 (condition 6/10)
Of those machines:
- The Lord of the Rings was rebuilt. It has been to the Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show.
- The first Theatre of Magic was rebuilt. It was sold to a (very happy) friend.
- The Indiana Jones was rebuilt. It has been to the Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show.
- One Bram Stoker's Dracula was shopped. It has been to the Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show.
The definition of rebuilt is complete tear down, playfield touch-up, playfield clear coat, all mechanisms rebuilt (down to the screw) and thorough cleaning throughout.
So it appears I'm batting 4/13 so far. The pricing history definitely tells a story. Many deals in the earlier buys and not so many deals in the later buys (hence the reducing number of machines purchased). I still can't believe the price paid for The Addams Family and Twilight Zone. Insane. I know I will never see those prices again.

i remember all those! dug through some email and i saw i got a WCS94 in the 2015 container buy for Euro 1,200!
