Quoted from Concretehardt:WC... If I buy a pin in Canada can I just drive up and pick it up? Is there special paperwork that needs filled out ect to bring it back to the US?
No paperwork needed to come back to the US as long as it was made here.

Quoted from dasvis:Not really. I liked the Seattle venue better. Hotels were cheaper & there were many more bars and restaurants within walking, err, staggering distance.
Seattle center was awesome, I wish it was still there too. But I imagine that Tacoma is a lot cheaper as well as larger and a whole lot easier to get games in and out of.
I ate some B+ sushi walking distance from the Tacoma show...spacing on the name though.
Quoted from wcbrandes:im mode based as well as per collection. This has none? It does appear to have some great shots. Heading back to pinball museum in Seattle tomorrow but never have seen this there. Anyone know where one is close to Seattle?
According to my handy iPhone app it says there are two congo's on route in Seattle
1) the neighbor lady
2) John John's game room
I like Congo
Be sure to tell Charlie he needs to buy one
Quoted from Shoot_Again:Still on for tomorrow shooting for 11 no earlier FYI.
I think I am starting a bad movie good game collection last 2 added TS and JM.Have a great night all. Time to get off of here and go play some pinball.

Happy ending...
At least
Quoted from karmalord:Too bad there is no cheap way of getting needed pins from east coast over to the nw to help with the lopsided market here. I've been getting nothing but the runaround from several people when trying to buy one lately.
What are you looking for?
Quoted from pinstersix:Are you kidding me? HUO is routed junk, for example? I've made offers on games, sight unseen. That's all I was asking people to do. I posted all of my games - I am not going to go snap pictures and describe each one.
Bro pictures and small description takes maybe 20min a game.
For THOUSANDS of dollars that's not that unreasonable of a request.
Quoted from Iamdarras:anybody have a banged up playfield ? I want to make an art project
I got a banged up gorgar if you're interested
Nice looking BMF pdx CL
portland.craigslist.org link
(Not mine nor have I seen the game)
I told my non Pinside friend i would ask if anyone was interested in buying his Shadow
Game plays good
New decals on cab and head
Has LEDs
Alternate translite
One playfield wear area
He is asking $3000
Game is in Beaverton OR
Quoted from JosiahCox:Pdxmonkey - if your friend has any interest I am looking to trade my nice DESW for a Shadow.
I'd be happy to do the driving as I live in northern Washington. Let me know. Thanks.
I asked, but unfortunately he is not interested. He is interested in TAF with some cash coming your way if you're interested.
Quoted from markmon:Anyone interested in a good deal on a Walking Dead LE HUO like new with shaker, sub, bicycle girl ramp light mod, and some extra lighting? Maybe somewhere around $6500 for a cash deal with a local?
Wow that's a killer deal
I'm thinking of adding an EM to the lineup.
Never had one before but I figure I should try one .
I have an Embryon or a High Speed for trade (+/- cash if needed) or a straight cash sale is fine too.
Thanks,
John
Yeah, why not...I've really been enjoying a lot of the 80s pins.
I didn't think I would like a game without multiball, then skateball came along and I dig that.
I also enjoyed playing a friend's Mars Trek and Gold Strike.
Quoted from Iamdarras:GK is about three blocks away from my place. I have 11 Great games in my space on free play. I might be down to host a warm up get together before th tourney if anybody is down. I'm also on the pinball map. 625 NW everett 110.
Dude, I'd love to come by
Your games are in fantastic shape
Long shot but would anybody from this area be traveling to the Midwest area this year?
Trying to get an empty cabinet to a buddy, will comp deliver for some really cool pinball stuff.
Quoted from pin-pimp:Market is tough here, much better in Oregon and Washington.
I don't mind driving part way if I could take enough in the trailer to make it worth it
Lots more EM colectors in the seattle area
You're a drive but I'm glad I made the trek!
Thanks again for that Solar Fire, I really love that game

Quoted from markmon:So I haven't been playing much and some of my higher end games are starting to collect some dust and it feels like they should go to someone that might actually play them. Prices are high, but condition is good and warrants the prices. If anyone wants pics let me know and I'll post some if there's interest.
Not looking for trades unless they're things I can sell for more than the asking price of the games I'd be trading. Want cash, not bank, paypal, etc.
Cirqus Voltaire $7500 - Clean inside and out, playfield in great condition. Has playfield overlay on it (not mylar, but the free floating one that looks iike a clear coat and protects). Purple powder coat, free xpin dmd, pinballbulbs led kit and extra light strips, subwoofer, custom topper, custom shooter rod, mirror blades, perfect working order.
Medieval Madness $10,500 - as seen in the pinballbulbs booth at the NW Pinball show each year. Game was restored 3 years ago with new cabinet decals, brand new mirco playfield. Has several mods: ColorDMD, special 3 stage powder coated rails, legs, lockdown, coin door, etc from pinchroma - color is beautiful. Looks purple in one light blue in another. Mirror blades, shaker motor, subwoofer, troll eyes, plastic protector kit, pimpmypin catapult mod (the $300 one), dragon topper (not installed but should be in my cabinet), castle skeleton eye light ups, replacement backboard with lightning on it, light up dragon, big dude on war horse on left ramp, probably some other mods I'm forgetting. Castle and gate work well. Game plays like new. Pinballbulbs lighting kit installed. Game is in like new condition, many addons. Better than a remake.
Bride of Pinbot 2.0 $5500 - Game was restored. Has original diamond plated playfield. Playfield overlay installed (not mylar, but the one that looks like a clear coat). New ramps, new helmet, new cabinet decals, 2 stage purple shiny powder coat on rails, lockdown, coindoor, etc. Real backglass upgrade over translite. BOP2.0 installed.
Champion Pub $5500 - Game was restored. New clear coated playfield installed, new jump ramps installed, additional new boxer motor in the cabinet (not installed, the existing one is fine). Subwoofer installed. Mike chestnut brass trim and coindoor installed. Cabinet in excellent shape. Pinballbulbs LED kit installed.
These are incredible games
Quoted from SadSack:I'm a pacific northwest buyer. I don't sell on pinside because pinsiders don't make good customers as far as my experience goes. I've bought several machines out of Washington and Idaho.
I'd be happy to post in the JPOP thread, but I've been banned there for over a year because I told them all they had been ripped off when I was -yet again - the asshole trolling.

I'm just wondering why everyone is so sensitive about the issue.
You must have bad luck, every pinsider I've done a deal with has been really good.

Quoted from toyotaboy:Doesn't seem to be too many posts about Oregon (portland/vancouver WA to be exact), but figured this is a good thread to post in.
So me and my wife vacationed in Portland. OR about a year ago, actually we are flying in again this friday for a week to go during the worst weather period (which is still way nicer than Chicago is right now). Basically we LOVE the area and the culture and are seriously planning on moving there in the next 2-5 years. Last time we were out there we checked out ground kontrol, some local bar pinball, voodoo donut. Wondering what the collector scene is like (beyond just looking at a map). Any local clubs or tournaments that happen on a regular basis?
More importantly since homes with basements seem to be a little more obscure than in the midwest, what does everyone do for gamerooms? Does anyone build pole barns to create an arcade outside of the house?
Good week to visit
Monday tournament at Cbar starts at 6pm (don't be late!)
Cbar has excellent games and really good food
Highly recommend
Tuesday tournament at Lutz (7pm)
If you want to catch some home games hit me up
As far as basements go...
Most older homes have them and new homes do not.
Our real estate market has dramatically risen in last few years.
East and West Portland are quite different in prices as well.
Northern Cali while technically not part of the PNW, i feel it's close enough. if you want to get crazy this thread was started by a Canadain!!!! Doesn't that disqualify PNW???
Northern Cali too then!!

Quoted from HighVoltage:Uhh, no, it just proves what none-'murican-centrics would know: Vancouver, -BC- is the -definitive- PNW!!!!! (beat you by one !)

Quoted from nwpinball:If you don't mind driving, there will be a repair party in Milton, WA at James Edes' house at the end of February with people that could help you look at and teach you to repair your own board(s). We will be doing a bunch around Washington State leading up to the show. Do Portland area folks ever do repair parties? It seems like you have enough collectors to do them.
I’ve met him before, thanks for the suggestion.
Little more about the problem,
It’s a Sleic boardset from an IO Moon. I’ve asked a few professionals in PDX but they either declined or are stumped as well.
One plug between the video board and the cpu was plugged in backwards. Sending 12v to the 5v. Now the game boots and goes into attract mode but no switches or dmd work. It needs new rom chips burned as well.
So there’s little to no online help resources. I do have a copy of schematics though. Do you think anyone there could tackle this? Not your everyday problems, don’t mind the drive but would hate to waste anybody’s time.
Pair of Mario Kart GP 2 linked arcade games. Work great will trade for pinball or $5500 for the pair.
My buddy, who’s not on pinside, is selling a huo jjp potc LE.

Last time I did Penske one way it was by day not by mile…granted it was a few years ago but it was way cheaper than uhaul by the mule
Interesting data…
Containers shipped from China now cost $18,000 a container.
In March 2021 (this year) was $6000.
Idk Europe price data but I’m sure that cost is up too.
Quoted from MikeHogue:Didn’t get in on Godzilla.
I was served papers for a divorce last night. My wife never liked this hobby or..... any other hobby for that matter.
Sorry to hear Mike, hope there’s a silver lining here. Like the day after win the lottery or become the oil boy for the Swedish bikini team, I hear they like pinball.
Got a couple project em pitch and bats for sale.
1960 Williams Official Baseball.
Really nice condition but not working. Pitcher is jammed also needs glass. Would make for a very nice game if you fix it up.
1956 Deluxe 4 bagger
Works but needs to be gone through. Rough cabinet.
Thinking 2500 for the pair. Official Baseball worth more than that easily if working. Figured ask here first before listing on CL. Will donate to site if sold through Pinside.
Quoted from toyotaboy:where from? I just moved from the chicago burbs so haven't looked at the market (everything is expensive right now), but it was starting to get a little dry there too. Too many collectors holding onto their games, too many new people getting into the hobby paying top dollar.
Welcome to the PNW! Hope you don’t mind the rain till May ish.
Quoted from dtrimberger:What's everyone's experience with crossing into Canada to sell a pin to a Canadian?
I've searched the forum and most of the topics seem out of date, 8 years or older, or are from Canadians crossing and bringing the pin in themselves. The advice in those posts is all over the place as well.
I called Canadian Border Services as suggested by some folks on here. The person their states that the importer (the canadian) has to meet me (the exporter) on either side of the border and make the exchange happen. I'm planning on announcing the pin at the border and expecting to be pulled over to meet with an border agent etc. and the buyer to exchange there. One of us will be required to pay sales tax, that I'm sure of. Duty should be waved as the pin is made in the USA. My biggest fear is getting rejected at the border as I'm actually headed to Canada for kids sports so I don't have a great backup should the border guard say no way no how.
Thoughts?
I’ve done it a couple times.
Bringing a US game back into the states from Canada is no tax.
Bringing a US game into Canada to sell, they can make you pay taxes. You will have to go to immigration and declare the value and show them an ad or text email for the price. They can also just wave you through kind of depends on the officers mood that day. If you’re bringing your game up there and plan to bring it back home with you there’s no fees…
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Still looking for an f14, stars, mystic and dragonfist in bc wa or Oregon. Thanks guys.
There was a Stars and Dragonfist both FS at Golden State
