I started with Pachinko when I bought a Nishijin out of the Sears catalogue for a 100 bucks in the 70's. I still have that game, it works perfectly and is 10 times the game as the new modern ones.
If you check out the Tulsa, OK craigslist for pinball, Galaxy always is advertising their modern pachinkos for $99 w/ balls. I bought three a couple years ago (Wanted, Thunder Birds, Robo Cop) and have been having fun with them. They do not have the longevity as the pins, but are fun to have running when we have people over. Pachinkos are not too expensive to ship, so maybe you could work a deal with Galaxy. Just be sure they check that the game works 100% before shipping, my first Thunder Birds had a bad board and it cost me about $80 to convince Galaxy to "trade" it in for one that worked.
