Was about to say this pricing is way off but its from 2 years ago. You can't touch a TAF for under 4k in TX and the 4k one won't be very nice. From what I've seen pinside pricing estimates are very low compared to what stuff actually sells for on ebay, craigslist, and ironically the pinside market. Seems to be a situation of:
everyone who doesn't have a TAF but wants one wants to say they're cheap and suck, while those with nice TAF know what it takes to get one (if you don't live in BFE and bring back a dud yourself). Bottom line is TAF is expensive and there are a lot of poor examples of it out there since so many were made. I honestly did not like TAF at all until I got one and got it playing properly (one bad flasher away from perfect).

Really that logic seems to apply to a lot of discussed pins... I have it? it's the thing best ever and is worth retail. I don't have it? oh that pin sucks and I can buy it all day for 800. *mild exaggeration*
