Yes, yes, Daft Punk is my true love Homebrew game, but Overcooked came to me in a drunken "make a single-level game design" state of bliss.

So, I present to you: OVERCOOKED! Pinball

If you're a fan of the game, I'd really appreciate feedback. Please note that the playfield layout has the precision of 15 beverages, so go with the concept, not cm of precision. That said, any other general thoughts are certainly welcome. If you don't know the game Overcooked, then you probably don't care about this at all.

This will be built on the amazing Mission Pinball Framework and FAST controllers.

The basic idea (under 48 hours old):

A screen over the right side somewhere will show you the recipe to make.

The 'i' inserts will be lit in colors that match the needed ingredients.

After collecting the ingredients, you need 4 hits of the pop to "chop" them.

Then, hit the oven to cook. Timer starts, ball is held in the scoop.

A 2nd ball is launched allowing you to start the next recipe (starts step 1-4 again).

Get a plate from the captive ball before serving. Wash dishes with the spinners.

When the 1st recipe is done cooking, hit the drop in front of the oven (scoops) to retrieve it.

Serve by shooting the saucer. Ball is held in the saucer until the next recipe is in the oven.

When the next one goes in the oven, the saucer ejects and steps 1-7 repeat until a mode timer ends.

Scoring is based on # of completed dishes before time runs out.

Some advanced recipies require them to be mixed before cooking. either the "Blend" targets (probably will change to "mix") or the inner loop.

If the food burns in the oven, a fire starts all over the playfield. Shoot the "Fuel" lane to extinguish. Hard mode you have to shoot the red shots to extinguish.

Draining simply wastes your time and a new ball launches based on current conditions.

I think we found the unofficial sequel to Diner! You could add a frying pan instead of a teacup?

Don’t know the game but I get the idea, I am liking it!

Damn. I wanted to keep it street level for my skills, but a frying pan is a great thought.

    AWESOME!

    WE LOVE OVERCOOKED!

Hit shots to collect ingredients , than have a timer start when making the dish!

The beauty of the video game is the craziness of getting the dish on time out to the customer.

Have multiple ball locks for each dish then, start the dish making!

    Good Luck

    Quoted from Mbecker:

Don’t know the game but I get the idea, I am liking it!

It's a simple, yet chaotic video game. My son and I love it. Customer's place orders (let's say the level is burgers). You have to retrieve and assemble the customer's order which will have some combination of bun, patty, lettuce, tomato...etc. But the patty needs to be cooked which takes time, the veggies need to be chopped at a chopping station, and the plates need to be washed. All with this, the kitchens themselves are laid out so hectic, there's a lot of moving parts, nuance, handoffs, and pitfalls. Lots of time juggling and communication. You can overcook food cooked too long, and wasting time loses you your tips, which getting is the goal of the game.

Many have said this would make for an awesome pinball, and OP is the only one brave enough to tackle it. I love it!

    Here's a good gameplay video:

This would be Awesome! Overcooked is great.
I went and played at the Dev’s booth at PAX right before the lockdowns, and it was awesome. They also have another spiritual successor, “Moving Out” where you have the same team but you have to grab objects and throw them in the truck and it’s hilarious.
You can throw the couch out the window or destroy the lamps and it’s all very funny and entertaining.

If anyone here has some 3D modeling skills to help make the ovens and blenders, I'd appreciate it.
