I would like to know if there is any other noise that could be modified or adjusted on the over the top buzzer. Anything to change the length/time of the buzzer duration. More importantly, possible no buzzer and some other mechanism that makes a different sound. Something on the line of a Bell or Chime. And as simple as plug and play

Find a fast flashing 455 bulb. The 455 is what holds the buzzer in circuit.
If you remove the 455 bulb altogether, it will eliminate the buzzer from sounding off.

I once got a machine where the buzzer wires were disconnected. I re-attached and found the relay with the 455 bulb had a regular #44 bulb. So when the score rolled over the buzzer would go off and not stop.

The 455's do blink at different rates but I actually prefer a longer buzz time. It should be loud and somewhat annoying. It's supposed to draw attention to the fact that someone just turned the machine over, A quick little 1 second buzz would defeat the purpose. It is also a different sound for EM's. Bells chime for points being scored. Knockers knock for free games or extra ball. Buzzer for over the top.

There are a limited number of sounds available for EM's and buzzers or are not included in most games. I'd never want to remove one from a game that does have one.

Try some different 455's until you find a length you like, Maybe some tape or foam on the buzzer to quiet it a little. Or just enjoy it the way it is, because it was probably designed to sound like that.

If you can find a bell from a williams SS game (taxi, space shuttle, black knight, etc), you can wire that in. Did that on my black jack, big improvement

    1. Yes you need a 455 bulb.
    2. My project hocus pokus did not have an over the top buzzer. I bought one of these on eBay:
    Edwards Dixie Buzzer No 725 Enclosed 3-6 V.D.C. 6-8 V 60C Signaling-Chevron look
    3. Didn’t like the buzzer, switched to this bell which I like better:

I just thought I’d toss it out there. It’s not annoying to me at all. It’s my pets, two cats and two dogs just freak out. The chimes don’t bother them at all just the buzzer. It looks like I have a couple options here.
    Cheers!

The buzzer can be obnoxious, my 5yo hates it. The bell is only slightly better.

My 4 year old runs for her life when the 100k buzzer goes off. Endorphins flow through my vertebra when that buzzer goes off. I wouldn't touch a thing!

For the CLE pin show I had a schoolbell hooked up to the buzzer in my ringer.

That would give me even more incentive to flip it over
