What's the most creative or drastic thing you have done to create space.
I moved last year to go from 13 to 44. Dont consider that abnormal but now I'm out of space again and it's time to add a few spots.
Time to tear out the basement brick fireplace.

I buy only non working projects the last 2 years. Keeps them cheap.
Even the house I bought was a as is project. Stunk like cat piss, all flooring ripped out down to subflooring, all taps and toilets broken, couple cracked window.
My wife , mother and I renovated the whole house ourselves.
Also helps having no kids.

Sometimes heros don’t wear capes. Just a pair of safety goggles and a sledgehammer. 
The most extreme thing I have done to create space, was to sell pins that dont get played enough....
By the looks of it, that fireplace was ugly and huge, so it probably had to go anyway.

I live in small two bedroom house. My mom called houses like mine "crackerboxes". The realtors call them Jr. Ranches 
The front bedroom got repurposed. The mattress and box springs were donated. The bed frame and backboard now live in the attic.
The chest of drawers moved to the back bedroom, which was repurposed into my computer room years ago. It houses computer parts and lately some pinball parts.
The dresser now lives in the dining room. It is for jeans, T-shirts, socks, underwear, and pinball parts. My dining room table is covered with containers of salvaged screws, nuts, bolts, and loose pin parts as work to get it all organized.
The front bedroom, now game room, is home for 6 pins and one rotisserie for the play field I am working on. The cabinet for that play field is living in the living room. It is the first thing you see when entering my house.
And I have one more pin I just got up and running. It lives in the dining room, next to the dresser.
I....
1) Sleep on the couch.
2) Eat my dinner from the coffee table.
3) Live by myself. Girlfriend is having 2nd thoughts about us maybe getting a house together
4) boredom is never a problem. There is always something to do.
5) figured out that I will be able to comfortably squeeze 8 pins in this house. Number 9 will have to shoveled in but it can be done.
6) I can't find shit in this river of pinball parts I have been accumulating. Nothing leaves the house go to the garage as I fear if I move something to the garage it will be lost forever.
7) I am having a blast of a time.
In my previous house I got rid of the office, moved 8 pins in there and just kept my laptop on my kitchen bar counter which became my office. After that I sold the overly fancy dinette that we used never times a year and 3 more fit in that space. As soon as my PF's landed on the kitchen island which is my wife's self proclaimed "safe space", the house had to go. We ended up moving up in space by 1800sq ft+ and most of that was in my new basement "clubhouse". Oddly enough, I actually have less room for pins as I can only fit 8 in the main pin area downstairs. I did net my own space, a wet bar, a full dedicated home theater setup, a under construction pinball hobby room which also houses my HT AV equipment and treadmill, my own extra bedroom away from everyone that fits a king bed, a full bath and (most important to my wife) I gave my wife back her space which is now all of upstairs.

Alright 90% of the brick is outside. The rest is loose and will be removed tomorrow.
The steel insert was over 200 lbs so I brought my cutting torch in to cut it up.
Hoping to have it all removed and cleaned up tomorrow so I can take down the tarps.

I have removed a few fireplaces in my lifetime. It's horrible work but man is it messy. GL with getting all finished up but I know once you are done you will be thrilled. Your bank account might not since you will be buying more games though.

How far is it down to the the other end?
I'd have to check. That is only half of it. Its 1300 sq ft. I bought a bungalow for the bigger basement.
I should be able to do 46 games comfortably and still have the bathroom, utility room and a large repair room.
