The longest drywall sheet here is 6m......20ft long

Wow never seen that before longest we have out here is 14'... is this something 2 guys could handle throwing up and i figure it would be a little awkward to handle.
My guys would kill me if i started ordering 20' sheets for them lol

    #106 5 years ago

Question, are there no issues with only have one exit on a building that size? Seems like you would have to have a door at each side? Just curious.

    #107 5 years ago

    10/10 would skateboard in there

Have been doing that. Ceiling is to low or could put a quarter pipe on each side wall.Maybe a burn in the corner of the nib wall.

    More painting.

Be interesting to see if you find the concrete floor “too loud” - ie no sound absorption in that room, only reflective surfaces.

If so, carpet tiles or “garage carpet” is cheap and very effective.

I have normal house carpet in my gamesroom and garage carpet in my garage (which now has 21 pins in it). The garage carpet is great! Nylon, no pile, easy clean, and the pins slide around super easy. And like $20 a lineal metre.

You can see it in this part of the garage .. excuse the mess, I was having a re-arrange.

Thanks for the advice Rd,time will tell with the noise. Not that it will bother me. Those carpet tiles look really good. But with 200m2 to cover that is the price of another pinball!

The stuff in my pictures is garage carpet which comes in rolls. 1200mm wide from memory, direct stick to the floor. I think I paid $12 a lineal metre for it (wholesale) here - you can probably get it retail in Aussie for 15-20 a metre. Easy to lay.

I use carpet tiles in my commercial office buildings, here is a 500x500mm tile. Again, direct stick. I had plain grey tiles in my old arcade in my factory unit when we lived there (before the house was built). The beauty of carpet tiles is that if one gets damaged, rip it up and stick down a new one! Similar price to the garage carpet if you sniff out a deal.

Without math nerds getting involved, are we taking bets on how many rainfalls it takes to 1) initially get water in the tanks and 2) fill the tanks?

    Quoted from eh97ac:

Tanks are 23,000l each and there is 260m2 of roof space.

    Quoted from king-pin:

It takes no time at all to fill those up. Not in NZ anyway.

Mine are 2x 30,000 litres and NZ rain keeps them full to the brim. And water comes shooting out the top half the time. Haha

There’s no way we can use as much water as we catch off the 600sqm house roof.

I installed 2x 30,000 litre tanks on my last industrial building I built (13,000 sq metre roof size, huge catchment area) - the tenants used the free water to make the diesel additive that goes into the second gas tank that the modern diesels have (AdBlue) The concentrate comes from Germany and they use my roof water to mix it up. Free water! Win!

You can always buy matching locks too - one key opens every pin. PBL will do that.

    You’re making good progress. Nice!

Just get a bunch of these: https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Maximum-Neodymium-Corrosion-Protection/dp/B0787Q54M1/ref=sr_1_4

Put them on the inside of the leg just under the cabinet. A few of the WI guys do that, works great.

I have all mine on hooks on the left leg. Love it! Whenever I have a tournament I won’t be bothered when people need the keys.

My buddy showed me this as he does this with all his games. I like it and that way you can hang the keys for the head on the inside of the coin door. Without having to worry about misplaced keys.
