I have to say that after seeing an F-14 Tomcat with LEDs, I was concerned that the results might be overpowering. We got the CoinTaker LED kit, and the only minuses were that the kit calls for an orange light on Extra Ball (which is red) and that one of the green bulbs was a dud. The process was easy-peasey, and now we are a lot more confident about doing more mechanical stuff to the machine when the need does arise.

VERY happy.

No pictures?

Pictures of led jobs are worthless and cannot capture the experience.

Besides... I was too squeeeeeeee to hold the camera steady!

I do have a good HD camcorder, will see what I can do, I should try.

You could say the same for porn... but people still watch it. Take some happy pills man and step off the negative train.

That's the most ridiculous comparison I've ever heard of. Porn in the area of pictures and video is a billion dollar industry. It perfectly captures the experience. Are you crazy? LEDs on the other hand are all about intense light and glowing light. None of that can be properly photographed or filmed. There has never been a decent picture of an led upgraded machine that looked anything like how great it looks in person. it's not a matter of being negative. It's being not stupid.

Choo-choo! All aboard!

I just converted all the inserts on my Shadow to LED yesterday, and I'm really happy with the results. Since there was some ghosting, I ended up going with Terry's Ghost Busters for the whole thing. I think they offer the perfect amount of brightness for this game, and I honestly can't imagine going with anything brighter. I plan on doing the backbox and GI with Cointaker LEDs, but I haven't decided exactly which ones to use yet.

Now boys... don't make me pull this car over!

I tried video and pics with my iPhone last night, and naturally that wasn't worth doing. At the very least, I'll have to remove the glass because the reflection is pretty strong (which in some ways could be considered a negative for LED, the lights in the back box are much brighter now, and in the dark that means a stronger reflection).

I mainly just posted for anyone with a Shadow considering doing an LED conversion, that it gets at least a thumbs-up from my husband and me. A few descriptors:

- The blue lights used near the bottom make the "city at night" concept really pop. I barely noticed it before.
- The deep red hues on the scarf look AMAZING
- The brighter lights make the different modes (Berrylium Sphere, Vengeance, Farley Claymore, etc.) much nicer. We could barely see them before. I have seen videos where people did these with purple lights, I think, and I like plain white MUCH better
- I was jumping up and down when the lights all went crazy for multiball, it is far more exciting visually

Those are the main things I can think of. I'll play with the camcorder this weekend, and if I can get a good result, I'll post it. I thought this guy's video had a pretty good visual on what Spider-Man looks like with LED, but in general, yeah, it's almost not worth attempting because there's no substitute for seeing it in person.

I say make and post a video anyway. Will give us a general idea .
