Still never had one issue with Uship to date. Most I've ever paid with them was $300 for about 1400 miles to me.
However, I just had someone ship me a pin from Chicago to SC using Fastenal. Yes, the nut and bolt company, seems they do freight shipping store to store. Cost was a flat $150 for the trip. The pin did have to be palletized but they stood it up on the pallet and secured it, etc. He just took it there and made sure it got done.
So if there's a Fastenal in your town or nearby might be worth your time. Total transit time was about three days and you pay for shipping when you pick it up.

I might have to test this out. I need to get my dad's Aladdin's Castle back from Atlanta to Denver. I guess I'll call his local store?

Here's the contact information I got on mine. It is for the Mid-Atlantic region, hopefully that's the right area to handle your request.

I was stood up two days in a row by these jokers, well STI or whatever the 25 companies are that carried my pis

My games had scratches on the back of the cabinet that faces the wall because the games rested on the pallets there & the either bounced around on the truck or a fork lift driver was careless.

The guy delivering the game didn't have a pallet jack either

That was 3 year ago, I will never ship again
