Great timing! Just got my first shooter. 1966 Midway Captain Kid. Only have one other EM--Duotron. This has been a real learning experience. Pics and experiences coming.

1966 Midway Captain Kid. Paid $450. Full of cat hair. Rebuilt two flag motors. Working 75%. Kept getting the %$^& shocked out of me even when turned off. Found that it had the neutral switched (as per the schematics) instead of the hot. Fixed that first!IMG_1384.JPGIMG_1384.JPGIMG_1385.JPGIMG_1385.JPGIMG_1386.JPGIMG_1386.JPG

    Quoted from izzy:

Sadly I might have to sell it in the near future.

Let me know if you do. Was my favorite to play at the county fair's arcade.

    Quoted from blondetall:

Just discovered that these things exist, and now I need one. I do have a little space beside my Twin Win, so a gun would go nicely. And I spotted a Twin Win in the pics on the first page, so that was nice.
I know just like with pins that there is a broad price range across the board, but in general what would a generic EM gun game cost these days? I've never even seen one in person, much less one for sale.

Found the Capt. Kid (pics earlier) after looking 'bout six months. Craigslist. Not real popular title, but fun and in great shape. Just have to keep looking and jump on it. I was lucky to find one close--shipping kills the deal and more than a one hour drive kills my back. Good luck!

    Quoted from Fishbeadtwo:

I need some tips on the selector for targeting.

Trying to sight it in? Find the target service switch and turn the target movement off. (Too hard to sight in a moving target.) The rest you will have to figure out.

We're building a sound device for my Midway Captain Kid. (Pirate theme). Using a raspberry pi to play pirate theme tunes and eventually parrot squawks and pirate callouts when those targets are hit. Should be pretty cool.

Replaced the one in my midway captain Kidd with D-22F-1150 from Marco. They were the only one I could find that had it. And yes, they are 115V........
