Phantom was the first gun game I ever played on location as a kid. The easy to hit spinner caused the ghost to move erattically which for me was almost impossible to hit. Whever I see the one still on location at Cedar Point, I always play a game on it.

For Submarine games, I like Sea Ray over Sea Devil. Sea Wolf, while nice was really trumped by the Sega 3-D version althogh I really like the modern (4 year old) Sea Wolf (same game logo) on location at most Dave & Busters. I nevr got into the color Sea Wolf II by Midway.

I remember both Stockade & Ambush being released. Played them both and got the flyers from Martin & Snyder, the area distributor at 8880 Hubbel in Detroit.

    Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

That's a good deal for the shape it is in and a very cool game!
It's a cool single player game because you actually have competition against Jungle Charlie which is basically the game character playing against you. If you do not shoot soon enough Jungle Charlie will and you will lose those points which is almost like having a second human player to compete against.
Hopefully someone here picks it up!

What I don't like about Wild Kingdom is that shooting Jungle Charlie scores nothing.

    Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

Did you see how the Score Wheels work? What a nightmare. Gears and Clutches on a shaft driven by 1 motor. Taking it apart just to clean would be a royal pain. Hopefully I never have to service one of these, but you never know.

Check out a Bally Bingo pin sometime.

    Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

Midways Arctic Gun is cool in the aspect it uses Bells instead of a stupid Sound Card that Williams used like in my Phantom Gun, so I got my idea to modify mine seeing how Arctic Gun works and Clays modification of his Bonanza. As far as the play of Arctic Gun I do not remember it well as it was back in yesteryear when I played it last. I do like the Artwork for Arctic Gun though.
    Ken

Except that Arctic Gun is made by Williams.....

Those US Marshall gun games (no electricity) made a ton of money in bowling alleys at 25¢/game. They used to be 5¢ and 10¢ but the op I worked for put in quarter coin slides off of pool tables when we raised the play price.

    Re. Sega Periscope:

Randy Peck has one in great condition at his place...

Newer em technology. Note the "Bally font" score reels.
    Fun game to play.

Picked up this project today. Need scans for the lower glass if anyone has one. It's missing the torpedo motor so I'll be whipping up a DIY replacement.

Loved playing Sea Raider as a kid. Most department stores had them (Arlan's, W. T. Grant, Ames, Zayre). When the updated vesion, Sea Devil came out, It paled in comparison.

Then video vestions came out. Firs was Midway's Sea Wolf which was great to play and they earned well for several years. Then the Sega Subroc game that came out around '82 and was a great upgrade with awesome 3-D effects using shutters in the Periscope. At that time, I was a game technician though and didn't care to play them. The periscope was no fun to repair on any of them.
