Quoted from cdnpinbacon:Don't forget the hockey team Gretzky just invested in Seattle.
Actually on that front, I'm a North, er, Dallas Stars fan
Quoted from Slugmeister:Did the Colt McCoy era Cardinals just beat Russel Wilson?
Pretty much sums it up.Without Wilson the Seahawks are the Texans.Jamal Adams is a liability.Seattle needs a reboot but it would be a tough sell with no money or draft picks.First time I have heard boos in Seattle. After you pay the franchise QB you need to hit your draft picks or be diligent with the cap and spending.Seattle did neither.
Nailed it. Different scenario, but man, it's starting to feel like the 80's again. Wonder what Dave Krieg is up to? Actually, the Hawks looked like the Texans WITH Wilson today. Need to blow it up and retool, but I don't see it happening. We can hope.
Quoted from Erik:The Adams trade has to be frustrating. Two first round picks and a big contract for a box safety! The least important defensive position.
Well, at least with the suckfest this year, we'll have a high 1st rounder for the first time in awhile.... Ah shit, no we won't, the Jets will...
Quoted from Jamesays:Wilson signs 1 year deal with 49ers.It could happen. He will probably get atleast a 3 year deal in Pittsburgh or Miami.
Lol, Wilson ain't going anywhere. IF he was traded, it would be to benefit the team, not because of any demand. And Pete isn't going to be part of any rebuild. Right or wrong, it's another "retool and try again" year. Don't count them out next year. Longshot maybe, but with Norton Jr. gone, if they can even muster an average defense, Seahawks will be stout.
And don't underestimate heart. Imo, if the Chiefs were representing the AFC, at least half the nation would be picking Mahomes and the boys. Bengals beat them twice in a month. Coming back from a big hole both times. The kids in Cincy are young enough to not know they should lose. Stafford has made some really bad miscues when under pressure this year. Like really bad plays. Rams win on paper, but I'll take the Bengals straight up. And the sack record of 7 won't be touched today. Where has Donald been? The blueprint to contain him has been clearly laid out by prior opponents. Zac Taylor is no dummy.
