My fantasy team:

Quoted from Deaconblooze:

the fact that there's only 45m of real football in a 3.5 hour game is annoying.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Actually I think it's closer to 10 mins. Haha

All the announcers need to stop saying something is going to happen after it has already happened.

"That's going to bring up fourth down." No, it already did. That brings up fourth down. That makes it fourth and 4. Fourth down that brings, if Yoda is announcing.

Doesn't help that they pronounce it "gonna"!

Quoted from dmbjunky:

The only way to reduce concussions significantly would be to get rid of hard helmets. I'd be for that. Return football to it's roots.

Um, hard helmets are safer. They absorb a lot of the impact.

Too much luck for me to be that impressed:

Lucky the Falcons were too dense to just run three times and kick a game-icing field goal.

Lucky to win the OT coin toss.

Lucky they fired off the confetti before they could review that touchdown, I'm not convinced that knee wasn't down.

What a punch in the gut to Atlanta's fans. My sympathies.

Congrats to the Pats though, thanks for a memorable SB for a change!

Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

Lady Gaga pulled it off alone with no special guests, and made no political statements

... other than including her song "Born This Way" with pro-LGBT lyrics the producers had told her to omit.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Great exciting game between the Bengals and packers if you guys watched. Glad the Bengals actually look like a NFL team again. Gotta get some work done here on out.

It was a nail biter! Not what we cheeseheads tuned in expecting to see, but a W is a W.

Rodgers throwing a pick 6, at home no less? The humanity!

He had never won an overtime game before! Freaky!

I got a chuckle, but 0/(0+0) is undefined.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:The late 90s called. They want their David Spade jokes back.

That joke never made any sense. How could the past call? How would one go about returning a joke to the past? How does using a joke now deprive the past of having used it in the past? I thought recycling was a good thing? At least when the Jerk Store calls, it's in the present.

Preemptive eye roll:

Bring back Dennis Miller! He'd probably do it for scale, too.

Gee, I wonder how you feel about noodles in chili!

Quoted from PtownPin:

The only chance GB has against the Niners is if the Niners beat themselves.....

Yeah, how on earth else could the number 2 seed have a chance against the number 1 seed?

It only takes like 16 NFL players to add up to "tons"...

Semi OT: speaking of the Buffalo Bills, why is a pro sports team named after an 1800s frontier showman?

I half expect 11 guys who look like this to come out on the field:
images (resized).jpegimages (resized).jpeg

Still better than their original name, the "Buffalo Bisons," which was not only rather redundant sounding but improperly pluralized! (Although it apparently was a popular name for Buffalo area teams of all stripes; they changed it just for some variety.)

At least their current name is always pluralized like it should be. People will say, erroneously, that they are, say, "a Packer fan," to which I always automatically think, "which one?" But I doubt anyone ever says they are "a Bill fan."

Weird, this previously blank post was left when I edited the preceding to move the pic to the middle...

Quoted from Deaconblooze:

I watched my sister-in-law's mma dbag boyfriend attack some poor unsuspecting bastard holding her hand at her twin sisters wedding. Just snuck up behind him like a real tough guy, slip, and bam, guy was out and dropped. He fell and hit his head on concrete, and got a subsequent concussion from that.
And congratulations are in order, they're now engaged!!

Who's engaged? Your sister and the mma dbag? Your sister and the unsuspecting bastard? The mma dbag and the unsuspecting bastard? Your post is ambiguous.

Lucky for the buyer, all involved parties have decided to cancel the sale of Tom Brady's half-million dollar "last touchdown" football. He was fortunate Brady "unretired" the day after the auction, before the deal was completed.

But the auction house says they still have interested buyers, it still being a Brady touchdown ball, calling any such ball "incredible."

Wow. I find their using that adjective incredible, when he has 664 TDs...
