Quoted from captainadam_21:

Don't forget that the Matt Ryan fumble came on a 3rd and 1 as well. Kyle Shanahan thinks he's a genius and blew the game for the Falcons. He should have been co-MVP of that game with Brady.

Yep! Not trying to take anything away from Brady and the Patriots, but that was really the greatest collapse ever in a Super Bowl game, not the greatest comeback. If Atlanta calls a run play on one of those situations they're waking up World Champions. Oh well, shoulda coulda woulda, congrats to the Pats fans!

#12579 5 years ago

I bet Brady gets a lifetime supply of Kraft Mac ‘n Cheese now that he won. Had he lost he would’ve gotten two lifetime supplies of it. And where the hell was the shot of Gisele Bundchen excitedly jumping up and down at the end of the game, instead I get to watch Tom Brady frenching the Pats owner.

Quoted from mof:

INT INT INT -- Mahomes is TERRIBAD today.

He doesn’t have any big playmakers other than Kelce anymore, and Kelce’s starting to show his age and look tired as the season goes on (Taylor’s probably wearing him out too!) KC thought as long as they had Mahomes they could win with average WRs and RBs, so they gave him all the money and let the others leave. Aaron Rodgers could have told them that plan doesn’t work! Look how good Tyreek Hill is making Tua look in Miami right now, you think Mahomes doesn’t wish he still had a receiver like that to throw to.

#66512 3 months ago
Quoted from Erik:

If they kept Hill they wouldn't have been able to afford the talented Valdes-Scantling

Who?

Quoted from Jaybird815:

Next game is Super Bowl preview?

I thought that was the Cowboys-Dolphins game last night.

#69061 3 months ago

Yeah, that was totally neutral zone infraction on Rams.

#69063 3 months ago
Quoted from jandrea95:

NFL on anything other than a free channel.
[quoted image]

Definitely spent more at the bar last night watching the Chiefs-Dolphins game than what it cost to get Peacock for a whole year, but fuck them, I’m not giving NBC any money for pulling that shit.

#69079 3 months ago

Is that a supreme pizza, lot’s of stuff on that.

#69097 3 months ago

Who was wanting to see Carson Wentz?

Vegan sausage?? Is it any good?

#69232 3 months ago

If the Bears don’t end up with either him, Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels then they deserve to suck for another 30+ years. After watching what CJ Stroud and Jordan Love did their first year as a starter it should be clear to the Bears that Fields isn’t in the same category as them.

#69237 3 months ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I agree with you fully...
But....
The Bears defied expectations and kept Eberflus.
Eberfulus is a lame-duck coach who will be fired next season if they don't make the playoffs.
Does Eberflus have ANY interest in drafting a rookie QB and "starting over?" No he doesn't. I think by keeping the coach, the chances of the Bears "rolling with Fields" in 24 becomes much more likely, as does them trading the #1 overall pick. Again.

But they fired their OC, QB coach, RB coach and WR coach, so they are already starting over. You want to bet on Fields trying to learn a new offense again or take a chance with what some are calling a generational talent at QB? I’m not exactly thrilled they kept Eberflus, but he did a hell of a job making their D into one of the best in the league the second half of the season.

#69252 3 months ago
Quoted from Dee-Bow:

Which one is "nfl ready"?

Drake Maye may be the most ‘nfl ready’, but is his eventual potential greater than Williams? That’s the multi-million dollar question.

#69261 3 months ago

Definitely a fumble

#69291 3 months ago

Soooo, what time does the next game start?

#69320 3 months ago

Just noticed the 2024 PBA championship is on my local Fox channel, might be better viewing than this game.

Apparently NFC EAST stands for No Fucking Chance Eagles Are Superbowl Team

#69515 3 months ago

So where is Sirianni managing next year, Taco Bell or McDonalds?

#69520 3 months ago
Quoted from Deaconblooze:

Worse. The titans

Yeah, I give Taco Bell and McDonalds more credit than to hire him.

#69528 3 months ago
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:

Wild how fickle head coaching can be. Talk of eagles and cowboy coaches losing their jobs following three years of more success than most in the league

That’s the point though, when you have that much talent on a team and perform so poorly in the most important game of the season it has to fall on the head coach for failure to prepare/motivate/coach.

#69530 3 months ago
Quoted from mof:

Don't they have aj brown out though?

Well that totally explains their poor performance. Apparently in addition to being a WR he also blocked for the OL, played secondary for the DEF, and did all the play calling. All I know is I won’t be surprised if the next time I go to Five Guys that Belichick takes my order, McCarthy’s flipping burgers and Sirianni is working the fry machine.

#69631 3 months ago
Quoted from fosaisu:

Guess I'll still tune in for the Usher halftime show though, looks like he's going with lots of touching video from his childhood.

Can’t believe they didn’t get Taylor Swift for the halftime show, she might end up being at the game anyway.

#69758 3 months ago
Quoted from Xero:

Mike McCarthy coming back next season for Dallas!
Wow!

Another 12 regular game wins/first round playoff exit season for them.

Quoted from mof:

knowing it's your last game has to hurt to the bone.

He’s saying he hasn’t decided if he’s retiring yet and might play next year.

#69769 3 months ago
Quoted from tomdrum:

Every time they ran the Brotherly Shove he yelled "FUCK MY LIFE". Hurts confirmed that. He's going to retire, give him time. Has 3 young daughters at home he wants to spend time with.
Would I like him back another year? Hell yeah, my favorite Eagles right up there with BG.

Yeah, that has to be hell on his body, especially for someone who has played 13 years at center. I think he probably is going to retire, he just didn’t like that it got leaked to the press before he was ready to announce it.

#69797 3 months ago
Quoted from boscokid:

Honestly don't think Matt Patricia was that bad as Eagles defensive coordinator - what's he supposed to do when facing that Murderers' Row of offensive juggernauts?

Really? The Washington Commanders who put up 31 points against them twice were an offensive juggernaut? Tampa Bay was an offensive juggernaut? They sure made them look like one when the Eagles D was playing non-contact flag football in the playoffs. Their D looked like they didn’t give a shit about that game and were done for the year. Patricia is riding on his days in New England where Belichick was the mastermind of that defense, not him.

#69799 3 months ago

Yep, sorry. I missed the first line of his text where he named all the offensive juggernauts.

#69926 3 months ago

Hey Matt Ryan’s still available, and with Belichick coaching he won’t have to worry about the asinine play calling that led to Atlanta squandering a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.

#69934 3 months ago

Atlanta is bringing Harbaugh back for a second interview as well as Belichick, so it’s still possible that Bill ends up in Washington.

#69956 3 months ago
Quoted from tomdrum:

I don't think Cee Dee's momma was bitching when he won Offense player of the week honors.

I have to say I was surprised at what Lamb did this year. I knew he had the talent, I just didn’t think he had the drive to be the best receiver he could be.

#70092 89 days ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

It was a great 2nd quarter for the Texans but that’s all they had.
Optimism for next year im sure!

No doubt. Houston has a young team, the second most room under the salary cap, CJ Stroud could become the best QB in the league if he continues to improve, and I don’t see any other team in the AFC South that’s poised to challenge them next year.

#70795 88 days ago
Quoted from Friengineer:

Where do we stand on grown men in the stands crying?

He probably just lost 10 Grand betting on the Bills.

#70796 88 days ago

Jason Kelce takes his shirt off and it gets posted on the internet less than a million times…Taylor Swift takes her shirt off and the internet breaks.

#71167 84 days ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

Kinda doubt even Chicago is dumb enough to hire Barry for DC anyway.

One of the Chicago sportswriters said the Bears should hire Barry just because of how he owned the Bears during his time with the Packers.

Quoted from Haymaker:

As funny as it is that the bears and Vikings seem to love digging through the Packers garbage all the time…

Sorry, what were you saying?

Quoted from Jamesays:

Heres one for Lions Fan.
[quoted image]

That video was so anticlimactic, if you’re going to body slam a guy then body slam him, don’t pick him up and then gently put him down. I was so looking forward to seeing Rodger’s get planted in the turf.

#71202 83 days ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Is this what you are looking for?
Dude shoulda been arrested!!
Wasn’t this like 5 seconds after he got rid of the ball ?
[quoted image]

That was right after McMahon threw an interception and the Packers player starting running the ball back. McMahon wasn’t really making an effort to go and try and tackle him but shitbag Charles Martin came up from behind him and slammed him into the ground. I was watching that game and started screaming obscenities.

#71206 83 days ago
Quoted from Deaconblooze:

Darn. Was really hoping for barry
[quoted image]

I’m okay with that, I think Washington fits in well with their organization. I also like Waldron as the new OC. Now if the Bears can just avoid screwing up on draft day…take Williams damnit!!!

#71207 83 days ago

Good thinking New England, we’ve all seen how great Getsy is at working with young quarterbacks.

#71209 83 days ago

I’m sure they’re going to see what teams are willing to give for the number one pick…which makes me nervous they’re going to screw it up!

#71212 83 days ago
Quoted from Xero:

[quoted image]

I don’t blame him for being concerned, the Bears track record on developing young QBs is one of the worst in the NFL. Then again, the Bears track record on selecting good QBs in the draft is probably the worst in the NFL. It’s not like any of the QBs that washed out in Chicago went on to set the world on fire with another team.

#71221 83 days ago
Quoted from Xero:

He'll fit in with Chicago just fine
[quoted image]

You should do some more background research on Williams, he’s by far the best QB prospect I’ve seen coming out of college since Andrew Luck. Most scouts in the league are drooling over this guy’s talent and his desire to win.

#71237 83 days ago
Quoted from Erik:

That's a bad one. mocking a CB to Titans at 7 with a boomer WR, the worst tackles in the league, and a new coach with an offense background. Nabers falls to 9? cmon

Yeah it will never happen. But hey, a Bears fan can dream can’t he?

#71243 83 days ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

It’s unlikely, but possible

Possible if you’re talking New England, impossible with just about any other team.

#71246 83 days ago

While drafting both Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. is most likely a fantasy for the Bears, Williams and either Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers is definitely a possibility.

#71249 83 days ago

The two best WRs behind MH Jr., one of them will probably be available at #9 but not both.

#71275 83 days ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

Who the fuck is Ryan Wilson?

I don’t know, but according to his mock draft he doesn’t know shit about football.

#71588 81 days ago
Quoted from 29REO:

I think the NFL is trying to build up this Taylor, Swift girl to be the best thing since sliced bread

I hope she dumps Kelce in the offseason and starts dating a Chicago Bears player to ensure that we go to the Super Bowl next year.

#71603 81 days ago

When did Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olson become FOX’s top NFL announcing team?

#71605 81 days ago
Quoted from Friengineer:

All season my guy

I guess I didn’t notice cause I was watching Bears games and they always got the bottom of the barrel crew.

#71862 81 days ago

At least Kyle Shanahan can sympathize with Ben Johnson for being a lame duck OC going to a head coaching job who had a big lead in the 2nd half but ended up losing in their final game with the team.

#71876 81 days ago

I’m really interested to see the post game interview with Dan Campbell

#71883 81 days ago
Quoted from PanzerFreak:

He needs to go for the points in certain situations and tonight there were two of them where he blew it. GO FOR THE POINTS!

When the Lions were playing the Bears and they went for it on 4th down a few times I told my friend that if they did that in the playoffs they would end up losing cause of it. Don’t have to be very smart to realize that.

#71932 81 days ago
Quoted from ralphwiggum:

Educate me on what I am missing.

Brock Purdy was ‘Mr. Irrelevant’, the very last pick taken in the overall NFL draft, they usually get cut in preseason training. He’s taken his team to the Super Bowl while all the QBs taken in the first round will be sitting at home watching the Super Bowl. He led the league in yards per pass attempt (9.6) and expected points added (EPA) per dropback (0.292), putting himself into MVP consideration. His regular season stats: 308-of-444, 4280 yards passing, 31 TDs/11 INT. Passer Rating: 113.

IMG_0592 (resized).jpegIMG_0592 (resized).jpeg

#71940 81 days ago
Quoted from ralphwiggum:

I get all of that, but when I watch him, I just don’t see an mvp qb at all.

I understand, I felt the same way about him last year. He’s not the big, fast, super athletic QB that most teams are looking for these days. But this year he made a believer out of me, and the stats don’t lie.

Quoted from ralphwiggum:

There are multiple times during the game where he is just flat out bad.

I could say that about every QB in the league.

Quoted from ralphwiggum:

Does anyone really think he is a potential MVP candidate?

If the 49ers win the SB he’ll be a candidate.

IMG_5602 (resized).jpegIMG_5602 (resized).jpeg
#71944 81 days ago
Quoted from Jamesays:

Purdy an McCaffery for co MVPs

Out of the 5 finalists it almost has to go to one of those two. You can cross Dak off the list right away, Josh wasn’t able to get his team to the conference championship, and Lamar looked to be the favorite until KC went into Baltimore and easily dispatched them.

Most Valuable Player Finalists:
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

#71946 81 days ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I'm pretty sure the votes are already in.

I’m not sure that’s true.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I don't think what happened this weekend affects voting for MVP.
Lamar should win his second.

I can’t argue against Lamar being the MVP, he had an awesome season, but the AP voters usually favor players that take their team all the way.

#71968 81 days ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

& people forgetting RB don't win it sprinkled in.

In the modern QB-centric NFL it’s hard for a RB to win. 2012 was the last time the MVP wasn’t won by a QB, it went to Adrian Peterson, and if you compare McCaffrey’s numbers from this year to APs numbers from 2012, I think he had a better year.

2012 AP 2,314 yds from scrimmage 13 TDs
2023 CMC 2,023 yds from scrimmage 21 TDs

#71970 81 days ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Yes you are in fact looking at it with 2024 eyes. Combining everything into "scrimmage yards" instead of saying AD rushed for over 2,000 yards is a little sus.

But does it matter whether they’re rushing or receiving yards? Strictly as a rushing performance AP was more impressive, but when was the last time anyone other than a QB had 20 TDs in a season? Marshall Faulk probably did.

#71975 81 days ago
