If the Bears don’t end up with either him, Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels then they deserve to suck for another 30+ years. After watching what CJ Stroud and Jordan Love did their first year as a starter it should be clear to the Bears that Fields isn’t in the same category as them.

But they fired their OC, QB coach, RB coach and WR coach, so they are already starting over. You want to bet on Fields trying to learn a new offense again or take a chance with what some are calling a generational talent at QB? I’m not exactly thrilled they kept Eberflus, but he did a hell of a job making their D into one of the best in the league the second half of the season.

Drake Maye may be the most ‘nfl ready’, but is his eventual potential greater than Williams? That’s the multi-million dollar question.

That’s the point though, when you have that much talent on a team and perform so poorly in the most important game of the season it has to fall on the head coach for failure to prepare/motivate/coach.

That video was so anticlimactic, if you’re going to body slam a guy then body slam him, don’t pick him up and then gently put him down. I was so looking forward to seeing Rodger’s get planted in the turf.

That was right after McMahon threw an interception and the Packers player starting running the ball back. McMahon wasn’t really making an effort to go and try and tackle him but shitbag Charles Martin came up from behind him and slammed him into the ground. I was watching that game and started screaming obscenities.

I’m okay with that, I think Washington fits in well with their organization. I also like Waldron as the new OC. Now if the Bears can just avoid screwing up on draft day…take Williams damnit!!!

I don’t blame him for being concerned, the Bears track record on developing young QBs is one of the worst in the NFL. Then again, the Bears track record on selecting good QBs in the draft is probably the worst in the NFL. It’s not like any of the QBs that washed out in Chicago went on to set the world on fire with another team.

You should do some more background research on Williams, he’s by far the best QB prospect I’ve seen coming out of college since Andrew Luck. Most scouts in the league are drooling over this guy’s talent and his desire to win.

When the Lions were playing the Bears and they went for it on 4th down a few times I told my friend that if they did that in the playoffs they would end up losing cause of it. Don’t have to be very smart to realize that.

Brock Purdy was ‘Mr. Irrelevant’, the very last pick taken in the overall NFL draft, they usually get cut in preseason training. He’s taken his team to the Super Bowl while all the QBs taken in the first round will be sitting at home watching the Super Bowl. He led the league in yards per pass attempt (9.6) and expected points added (EPA) per dropback (0.292), putting himself into MVP consideration. His regular season stats: 308-of-444, 4280 yards passing, 31 TDs/11 INT. Passer Rating: 113.

I understand, I felt the same way about him last year. He’s not the big, fast, super athletic QB that most teams are looking for these days. But this year he made a believer out of me, and the stats don’t lie.

I could say that about every QB in the league.

If the 49ers win the SB he’ll be a candidate.

Out of the 5 finalists it almost has to go to one of those two. You can cross Dak off the list right away, Josh wasn’t able to get his team to the conference championship, and Lamar looked to be the favorite until KC went into Baltimore and easily dispatched them.

I can’t argue against Lamar being the MVP, he had an awesome season, but the AP voters usually favor players that take their team all the way.

In the modern QB-centric NFL it’s hard for a RB to win. 2012 was the last time the MVP wasn’t won by a QB, it went to Adrian Peterson, and if you compare McCaffrey’s numbers from this year to APs numbers from 2012, I think he had a better year.

2012 AP 2,314 yds from scrimmage 13 TDs
2023 CMC 2,023 yds from scrimmage 21 TDs

But does it matter whether they’re rushing or receiving yards? Strictly as a rushing performance AP was more impressive, but when was the last time anyone other than a QB had 20 TDs in a season? Marshall Faulk probably did.
