He’s before my time but a bit of a legend. Took Washington to its first super bowl by beating the Cowboys I believe. Used to have the grounds crew open the service gates at RFK when opponents were about to kick an important field goal (bringing in the cruel winds from the river). Never met a draft pick he didn’t want to trade (and apparently somehow traded picks that didn’t exist?).
Also famously died after catching pneumonia following a Gatorade bath in his last college coaching gig.

And Gibbs 2.0 - as sad it is to say - is STILL the most accomplished Washington coach of the Snyder era. 2 trips to post season in 4 years pretty much qualifies you for the hall of fame if you managed to do it under Dan Snyder.
Fortunately, that’s not why he’s in the hall of fame. He’s in the hall of fame for winning three Super Bowls in 9 years with three different mediocre quarterbacks. Like I said, I doubt we’ll ever see anything like that again.
Mark Rypien is no mediocre qb.. He is Canada's qb. Although we are inferior at sports.. only due to geographical misinformation tho! Almost time to dust off those rabbit ears and dial in that poverty-vision, one more sleep! go Team!

I hope Mark is doing ok he’s had some tough times as of late. And yeah, for one season he was far from mediocre but the career stats really don’t lie.
He was clumsy and unathletic and threw some ducks but man could he chuck a gorgeous deep ball.
Rest up big boy we got us an old

My point is Gibbs 2.0 wasn’t great. He should have stayed retired.
It has been decades since the Dolphins or Redskins were serious contenders for a championship. Both organizations have had poor ownership, leadership, player selection, and coaching.

If it’s any consolation Dallas is notoriously undisciplined when they have the lead.They celebrate too much and let teams back into games.I hate to say it but I wish they were more like Belichick teams regarding this.They put their foot on your throat and never let up when they’re ahead!
