Wait a minute... Two field goals in OT, and there's another possession??? This is nutty!!!

#32752 2 years ago

These Carr over the shoulder bombs are masterpieces.

The touch is insane.

#32753 2 years ago
Quoted from rai:

in case anyone is not watching, Wentz is as bad as advertised.
94 yards in 3 full quarters, less than 4 yards per pass attempt.

He was putrid. The erratic wobbly passes have not been addressed.

I think Philly gets Indy's first round pick next year if Wentz takes 75% of the snaps. This seemed like an ideal game to sit him, rest his ankles, and help protect that pick.

They should have kept Brisett if they wanted a good back-up or fill in starter $5M one year let him walk.

Raiders receivers believed in themselves, and their QB today -- they caught nearly every pass thrown to them. I'm just a little surprised to see the level of play this high.

Edwards
Ruggs
Renfrow
Waller

Maybe they've identified the next Luck and are in tank mode again

#32758 2 years ago

Damn had to work again today so didn't get to see the Bengal/Pitt game but was excited to have it taped.....went to watch the tape and for some damn reason it only taped 4minuts of it! Glad we won though and happy to hear Chase pulled in 2 td's.

#32759 2 years ago

I like how Tucker does his typical pre-snap footwork and placement, and waits for the snap, then decides last second -- 1/2 more extra step for this big one (more like a kick off), and takes a half step BACK, and then leans forward at quite a steep angle, skips forward to start his approach with both feet (weird!) and pushes into his 2 step approach (without adding a third step) and strikes... (bunny-hop)-right-left BAM!

Last second adjustment for more power.

He certainly does not skip any leg days

#32761 2 years ago

66 is gonna stand for quite a while.

#32762 2 years ago

Tom Rathman is having a nice game

#32763 2 years ago

Oh fuck.

They've thrown a flag on relative tickles downfield all night. If knockout shots don't get a flag, then what's the point?

#32764 2 years ago

I grow tired of these new NFL shenanigans where every pass play is an opportunity for receivers to cry about no flags thrown.

EVERY
SINGLE
PASS PLAY

Back in my day, we ran our routes, got crushed going across the middle, and we never begged for flags, and we LIKED it!

#32765 2 years ago

BIG RED ZONE test for Jimmy G --

3 time outs
1 minute
30 yards

He's got to be able to slay this dragon.

#32766 2 years ago

LOL but he left :37 on the clock for Hail-Mary-Man with no timeouts -- and a FG try, I'd be half nervous.

#32767 2 years ago

Whoa SF wanted more Kittle was a beast in that drive

#32768 2 years ago

67 yd FG now in range. HAVE TO get first and clock. I don't like their chances.

#32769 2 years ago

That would be an epic finish lol

#32770 2 years ago

YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME (pack is setting up for a 50yd fg try)

#32771 2 years ago

CAN NOBODY IN THIS LEAGUE PREVENT A FG try With 30 seconds on the clock after taking the lead?

I swear it wasn't like this back in the 70s/80s... What has changed ?!?!?!?!

#32772 2 years ago

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I think if they made games 59:30 instead of 60:00 then this $hit would stop happening.

Since we are going on "old man yells at clouds" moments....

Here's mine-
I can't stand the newer camera trend of blurring everything in the background out except the player, especially when a touchdown is scored. I appreciate the irony/dynamic of video games trying to look like the real thing, yet here we are trying to make the real thing look like video games.

... Going back outside now to yell at some kids who took a shortcut through my lawn.

Can they beat the Falcons?!

Gonna be tough with matty Ice carving up the Swiss cheese defense for 400 yards like it’s 2014, but I guess hope springs eternal.

#32795 2 years ago

Pulling from 2-3 sources, just to hack this out quickly in a very non-scientific way.

week 4 power rankings (2011-2020) = 3 games played

2020: chiefs - packers: got 1 team right but the higher rated team lost
2019: pats - rams: got 0 teams right
2018: rams - chiefs: got 1 team right but the higher rated team lost
2017: falcons - chiefs: got 0 teams right
2016: broncos - vikings : got 0 teams right
2015: patriots - cardinals : got 0 teams right
2014: seahawks - bengals : got 1 team right but the higher rated team lost
2013: broncos - seahawks : got BOTH teams right, but the higher rated team lost
2012: texans - falcons : got 0 teams right
2011: packers - steelers : got 0 teams right

TEN year results:
6 goose eggs
3 times got 1 team right
1 time got both teams right but wrong winner

So roughly 50% of the time one team is right, so roughly 25% chance either team is right.
and 0% of the time they pick the winner.

Bills and Rams are each 25% likely to make it in, and the RAMS are definitely not the winner, hahaha -- this is all according to hard science of course.

And if there's a bias... it seems like sometimes the week 4 prediction mirrors the previous year's super bowl attendees... (at least that didn't happen this year) ha!

Can we get better than 3-1 on the Bills winning it all right now??? lol...
OR
Can we get place a bet NOW on the Rams losing the super bowl? (What a weird bet)

So can we pick Browns (#2 AFC) over Rams (#1 overall), or can we pick Bills (#2 overall) over Bucs... That's my take-away from this. hahaha...

#32796 2 years ago

I know it's early but Indy and Fins are both putrid and the Eagles could have both of their first round picks this year. * actually Indy will keep their pick if Wentz doesn't play 75% so likely if they continue to suck they will bench him (he should get used to the bench) and then Eagles will get their very high (hopefully) second round pick.

Only saving grace for Colts is they have one of the easiest schedules with Jags and Texans twice each so they should win more than a handful of games.

The odds of Wentz playing out the majority of the season gots to be LONG

That should help their 30th ranked defense.
