They lost. That’s what everybody expected.

Well you don't play any preseason thats gonna happen.

we'll find out this weekend!

What about McCarthy's clock management there at the end. I don't see why Deaconblooze raves about this guy!

Did they cover the spread? HaHa…..

Yeah...but this game seemed a lot less messy than what we saw early last season. Of course they didn’t even play any preseason games last season did they.

I can’t imagine there’s anybody in America who thought the cowboys would win after leaving 90 seconds on the clock.

I was worried about a blowout. That did not happen…

Fuckin' Brady. That creep can roll, man.

#32012 2 years ago

Dallas gave it away by not milking the clock. The only bright spot is the Bucs look beatable, but it's going to take a gunslinger to do it.

#32013 2 years ago

Lotta foks got knocked out of their survivor pools in the first f'n week....

Quoted from Manimal:

Meh, Brady will let the defense know what they did wrong and make the necessary corrections.

The important thing to remember is Dallas won the turnover battle 4-1, and lost, haha. To be fair 2 of the turnovers were Fournette having butterfingers and a Hail Mary interception to end the half, so not exactly forced.

Just happy football is back!

Why? Didn’t everyone pick the Bucs? Wait you have to cover the spread?

#32017 2 years ago

I watched the game on a 12 volt, 14 inch cheap flatscreen in a vacation cabin.
Very entertaining. Watching Brady & Gronk connect for their 100th was pretty cool

No spread on any I’ve ever played, or they’d all be about a 50/50 pick, haha

Yeah. I’d be dead immediately. Haha

Those two will be playing in their 50s. Always liked watching them.

My bad. It's been a couple years since I've been in one. Had it in my head the spread counted.

Brady for sure, but Gronk's only 32 and he has taken a serious beating over the years. I'd be surprised if he plays many more seasons.

Yeah. I figured he was like 40 too with how old he seems.

Ravens are signing all the washed up RBs, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman.

And they're both one hit from forced retirement

I think Murray has some left in the tank. His best year may have been last year. He has shown when given the opportunity, he can move the chains. I definitely agree on Freeman though.

1. I'm 98% positive he was concussed on his first catch.
2. For sure only came back for back to back possibility.

The Bears at -7.5 vs Rams is criminal, and the Browns are going to hand KC a loss, write it down!

Too big of a spread? I think the Rams will cover that spread.

Murray will be their starting RB fairly soon, their running game goes through Jackson so I don’t think these RB injuries will hurt them too much. Marcus Peters out for the year is the biggest injury, IMO.

I dont know much about either team, I just know both were inconsistent last season and 7.5 seems like a lot. Plus you have the Randy factor which is something Bears fans have yet to experience.

I am just pulling things out of my ass in regards to the Browns, but they do look really good.

Lamar Jackson is a great runner and can fill the void. Just gotta find someone who can pass!

Hard to throw to no one.

Exactly, they had one of the worst WRs corps in the league last year and they address it by signing Sammy Watkins. Mark Andrews is a beast, though.

At least they will be able to ruin the ball to take the heat off.....awww fuck.

Crazy how long it’s been since they’ve had a good receiver. Probably Steve smith.

Bateman could be interesting if he can get healthy. WRs typically need a solid year to contribute though, so maybe next year.

BAL has just been decimated, similar to the Niners of last year.

You think aboot how Steelers & Ravens are always viewed so similar, just think how much better the Ravens would be if they figured out how to draft WRs.
Steelers always hit on a few every couple years.

Nothing wrong with Marquise Brown as a receiver. He went 58-769-8 last year which doesn't sound like much but Jackson only threw for about 2800 yards.

By comparison Mahomes threw for 5000 yards so yeah, no kidding, Kelce and Hill had much better numbers

Both of those stats are bad for a #1 QB that is a former MVP and a #1 WR.

There’s nothing wrong with Brown, he just isn’t a #1 WR, and they don’t have much behind him.

Total shit. Joe Burrow had 2700 yards with no offensive line throwing to a rookie wide out who picked up nearly 1000 yards. Also, he only played in 10.5 games, haha.

Honestly, I dont see anyone competing with the Browns in the AFC North this season.

With all those injuries for the Ravens, you may be right.

Exactly! When is the last time he was used heavily for an entire season? Dude always shines when given the opportunity. He ain't Kamara or CMC, but he can produce.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Very true. Obviously Brown cant throw it to himself so his stats kinda depend on Jackson.

It remains to be seen if the Ravens/Harbaugh have what it takes to adjust their approach to run/pass mix. Or will they be signing AP and Gurley next after Latavius and Le'Veon tear their ACLs

#32048 2 years ago

Latavius is 31, he won’t last as a feature back.
I’m sure we’ll see plenty of Ty’son Williams week 1.

He prob won't be. But he will produce when he gets his opps...
