Quoted from RobT:

Colts over Chiefs
Saints over Eagles
Chargers over Bengals (I don't really feel that the Chargers will win, but I'm pulling for them so I will vote for them here)
49ers over Packers

well done rob, you nailed it!

#1952 6 years ago
Quoted from Pinchroma:

Their D wasn't great today. Over 140 yards total rushing. And gb receivers dropping passes they normally catch. The D line was after Rogers but overall not a tremendous defensive day.

I agree their defense wasn't "great" today, but it was most certainly very good. The rushing yards were simply what the 49ers were willing to give them to a degree in exchange for stopping Rodgers. It worked.

I'm definitely not worried about the 49ers defense. It's their offense that would be the issue. Take a look at Kaepernicks numbers in that game. Not good. If the Packers could have contained his running, they could have won the game.

Except for the part about not really feeling the Chargers would win. THEY were feeling it!

Quoted from o-din:

Sorry about the Packers guys. They fought hard. I know it's getting extra cold up there now, but it was a beautiful day in So. Cal. Go Chargers!!!!!!

We've definitely been spoiled that last week or two! Mid 70's and even 80 degree temperatures. Gotta love it!

Yep, and looking back on it, I shouldn't have felt like I did. Chargers are on a roll! They won their last 4 games to make it to the playoffs. Combine that with the fact that I have a lot of confidence in Rivers, and I have said many times in this thread that I have ZERO confidence in Dalton, I should have been more confident in the Chargers ability to win this game than I was originally.

That said, before the game started, I told my friend who was watching with me, who was not at all confident that they Chargers would win, that I thought that they would.

Now on to Denver. Where they've already won once this year.

No doubt. All the windows are still open, time to throw on some shorts and start up the Q!

Ill let someone else count up the WildCard predict winners but sounds like RobT took it.....Divisional round is...

Saints@Seahwaks
Colts@Pats
49ers@Panthers
Chargers@Broncos

Ill take Seahawks,Pats,49ers and Broncos.

chargers are a scary team, they beat the best and fall to the rest. i bet the chargers would win, glad i did. now they play denver which i believe they beat already this year.

san diego has nothing to lose, no pressure.

they destroyed the + 6.5 point spread this sunday, i expect they will destroy the point spread against denver. they stand a great chance to beat denver.

I don't make any predictions regarding my team any more. I just wait, watch, and hope for the best. But I have picked all the Super Bowl winners in the last 10 years!

#1960 6 years ago

I had my thoughts on the Panthers all typed up but then Cam Newton stole my laptop

I took an oh-fer this week! So you know what to do when you call your bookie!

Seahawks, Colts, Panthers, Broncos

The good news is that only the best are left.

Seahawks, Pats, Broncos and Panthers

Good games this week, 3 of the 4 could have gone either way

#1964 6 years ago

Love to see my Hawks get by Saints then beat the @&%# out of the Forty Whiners for the NFC Title.
Someone has to put that over rated Kaeperprick in his place!

Chargers and Broncos split the games during the regular season, but the Chargers run is coming to an end next weekend. I can't stand Rivers, he's a cocky dude and Manning is going to shut his pie hole.

And then Brady does it to Manning .......classic

I don't think so. It's Mannings year, broke many records and will cap it off with a Super Bowl win...knock knock knock

What about Rivers makes him cocky? Hes just a guy that likes to compete.

Cincy played one of the worst games of their season. Sum it up in one word "DALTON" basically cost them single handedly.

Then you missed what RobT and Centerflank were saying about you before they edited their comments! Probably for the best, that stuff got way out of line imo

Bears would have beat the Niners today.

LOL perhaps in an alternate universe. Are you kidding me, Niners would of housed the Bears even on an off day.

Which franchise has more Superbowl wins?? You don't need to look it up it's the Niners. It's our time to shine now you guys had plenty of years. I like Rogers he comes from the California & played college ball here he's a great QB but the Niners have just been a better team the last few seasons. I edited that comment don't want to kick a guy when their down that was a tough loss for you all. The ring will be forthcoming.

#1983 6 years ago

Seahawks,49ers,Colts,Broncos

#1984 6 years ago

The Niners have already lost to all three of the remaining NFC teams this season. If they don't go out to Carolina, who has twice the defense of the injury depleted Packers, they'll just end up with another humiliating defeat in Seattle.

Lotta talk for a franchise never to win a ring. I believe we won the last meeting with you all. Just sayin. Plus lets not get ahead of ourselves any team that Drew Brees is on has a chance don't overlook the Saints. Packers are 16-4 all time at home in the playoffs it's not easy to get wins up there come playoffs depleted or not. Pretty silly trying to diminish the accomplishment of going into Green Bay during the playoffs and coming out of there with a win. Just doesn't happen often.

Oooh, a 2 point win at home, we're quaking with fear.

Loss is a loss am I wrong? If we beat you by 2 points again would you all not be out of the playoffs?? Okay then.

#1989 6 years ago

Well, there's a loss and there's a 29-3 shellacking, but your basic theory is sound.

I'll admit I'd rather have the Panthers win, because as sweet as crushing the Niners would be I'm a big believer in the theory that your team winning is a lot less enjoyable than your team losing is painful, and the 49ers probably have a better shot in Seattle. Of course if they got whupped again that would probably put the voodoo on CK so bad that he'll never be able to win in the Clink.

Who has most titles? I think we covered that already.

Kaepernick is scared of the 12th man, he won't win here.

as a seahawk fan i would much rather face 49ers then the panthers. kaepernick seems to have significant problems doing anything in seattle. carolinas defense is a huge step up from green bay. 49ers do have a good defense.

seattle
new england
carolina
san diego( call me crazy)

You know as well as I do it is all about the Super Bowls. Just given you a hard time anything can happen in the playoffs. All these close games are driving me crazy as a fan. Come on Deaconblooze I know it was a tough loss but don't hate. LOL your avatar was a championship ring (before you changed it) deep down I think you agree

That's just silly but to each their own. I think Seattle's players and coaches would much rather see Carolina. Like I said you guys are overlooking the Saints. I hope the players/coaches don't do that they could be in for one heck of a surprise.

#1994 6 years ago

We're allowed to ignore the Saints because Seattle crushed them by 27 points like a month ago and New Orleans hasn't beaten a good team all season.

Sorry, that trolling was directed at The_Dude_Abides, not Saints fans.

BEN ROETHLISBERGER: BECAUSE THE SAINTS BEAT THE 49ERS

No way they get blown out again, but I do think the Seahawks will probably handle the Saints in Seattle. Even with this weeks win, NO just isn't the same team on the road.

#1997 6 years ago

lol roethlisberger post! that needs to be a regular thing

Oh I got it but I pay little attention to overconfident fans especially fans of franchises that have NEVER won an NFL Championship. You would think fans of a team that has never won a Championship would have a little humility. Win one and I'll definitely give props where it is due but until then your still just a team that has never won at the highest level. In all seriousness there should be some great games to come in the playoffs this year with some very talented teams going head to head.
