A bit ahead of the game but I am interested why you think Green Bay matches up well against the Niners after the game earlier this year?
That was one of the most dominate performances I have seen. Why do you think the result will be different? I am not hating, obviously you follow Green Bay way closer than I do and why were they dominated in that game but won’t be next time?
Probably my bad, I may be confusing my niners fans.
Anyway, I was talking about this coming week. I don't think the Packers matchup well against the niners for the most part. We do have the benefit of having played them during the regular season, which would at least give the coaches a chance to prepare better for the talent of certain players they may not have given enough respect to the first time around (bosa, for example). We have one of the better blocking TEs in the league, so it would seem like a good idea to give our OL some help with some big sets.
Raven Greene is back from the IR to start the playoffs. I don't expect anyone to know who that is, but he's a hybrid LB/Safety, and may be a decent way to account for a TE like Kittle. The edge definitely goes to Kittle, who's probably the best TE in football right now, but it would at least hopefully mitigate some of that damage.
The offense would need to get started early. I think if you can force SF to play from behind a opportunistic GB defense may be able to take advantage of what I believe to be an overachieving Jimmy G.
Anyway you slice it, the Packers would be underdogs should that matchup take place, and I'm pretty alright with that.
