Quoted from Rondogg:

A lot of fans of garbage teams transmit their hatred towards trolling Pats fans. Kindof pathetic but it allows you to still care about the season...think about it?

I’m rather indifferent to other teams or their fans when the Rams aren’t affected by them. I suppose I can root for the Vikings to collapse.

#16152 4 years ago

What happened to the Rams?

Todd Gurly
Rush 135
Yds 547

OUCH!

Quoted from Colsond3:

Good one. Still laughing.

For people who care about that dumb ass shit I would think the age of his girlfriend would be a bigger issue

I hope she’s got a good contract.

Also, what’s with his shoes? That guy is such a tool.

Sometimes you have to try to look cool when your lady is 50 years younger than you.

Money or not, if he can still land tail like that, God bless him.

Money or not?!? Does anyone question that it’s the money? Good for him for being rich, but it’s not like he invented paying for ass.

The Rams have 3 former first round picks of the Jaguars (Dante Fowler, Jalen Ramsey, and Blake Bortles). They are cursed.

Whom knew they would be better off trading for Menshew!

Re: Rams. I feel like it's mostly Goff getting exposed. I got the feeling that guy wasn't going to be a world-beater when he didn't know the sun sets in the West (he was confused as fuck on Hard Knocks trying to figure that out). He's had 5ints and 0tds in the last 3 games. He seems to be a backup quality QB at best right now. That's unfortunate for the Rams considering the money paid..

It's also not hard to believe that a young HC who had the entire league anointing him as a HOFer last year may have allowed some of that success to go to his head. I'm sure being out in LA doesn't help limit the distractions, either (nor does the supermodel wife).

#16162 4 years ago

Goff has been very hesitant since that costly interception in the Super Bowl.

Quoted from fosaisu:

That guy is such a tool.

Robert Kraft has donated well over 100 million over the past 10 years alone.
His philanthropic work is the stuff of legend.
He’s adored by every player (except AB) that’s ever come through NE.
His work on behalf of the league is tireless.
He’s brought 6 Lombardi trophies home to Boston/NE.
He just took a plane full of players to the Holy Land on a spiritual mission.
He’s a wildly successful businessman.

...and...and...he got that Tug-gate tape squashed and withheld from the public.

That’s one talented humanitarian of a tool.

Sadly the wrong Kraft.

Well he had to get all that money from somewhere. I'm sure all those donations are a great tax writeoff.

The rest of your list was a snooze-fest, but that one deserves a tip of the cap.

EDIT: Oh maybe married into it?

From wikipedia

"Kraft began his professional career with the Rand-Whitney Group, a Worcester-based packaging company run by his father-in-law Jacob Hiatt. In 1968, he gained control of the company through a leveraged buyout."

Plus he “donated” that SB ring to V. Putin! What a mensch....

#16174 4 years ago

Edit- never mind

#16175 4 years ago

Stinks about Gurley's knee. If I were a GM I don't think I would ever chance a big second contract on an RB.

Most rich people and all nfl owners make millions in “charitable” donations. It’s all tax shelter stuff and doesn’t impress me.

I wonder how many of his relatives are on his foundation’s payroll.

#16177 4 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Wow that makes it sound like you know what your talking about https://www.thekraftgroup.com/philanthropy/

#16178 4 years ago

My point is why should I give a shit if Robert Kraft is giving money away?

Dan Snyder gives away millions too. I still pray for his death every night. I encourage you all to do the same.

The poor will be ok. Every single NFL player also has a charitable foundation they use as a tax shelter and to employ their family.

I remember walking around the luxury suite level at Fed Ex and seeing a suite for “The Albert Hayensworth Foundation.” God bless Albert. Great guy.

I'm more impressed with this resume-

I know turkey day football is prolly a northeast thing, so It’s off to the Marblehead vs Swampscott football game tomorrow with pockets brimming with Fireball. Anyone else got some heated high school rivalries taking place tomorrow?
Happy Thanksgiving you miserable son’s a bitches!

Huh, neverheard of such a thing. Sounds cool though, enjoy!

What in gods name are you blathering about man?

Pretty
Sure Dallas doesn’t count as the northeast and they tend to figure into “turkey day football.”

As far as getting wasted and going to high school sporting events I pretty much gave that up when I was 18 but hey have a good time. Tell miss Johnson her English class sucks for me please! Also if you could pass Leslie Goldberg a note for me I’d appreciate it. I like her like her and want her to know but I’m afraid to call since her dad always picks up and he doesn’t think I’ll amount to much and doesn’t want any seniors dating his daughter.

#16183 4 years ago

What is this turkey day football you speak of?

The entire southwest, myself included would like to know.

It does sound very interesting.

Please don’t embarrass yourself. Leslie Goldberg is way out of your league.

Funny, no where in there does it mention the millions donated to the NFL officials pension fund.

Neighboring towns in the northeast have been playing each other on turkey day since they invented football. Makes perfect sense...Everyone’s home for turkey day, head out Wednesday night to all your old gin joints and see your pals, then at 10:00AM the towns clash and it’s smack-talk time. The game is over in time for food and to watch the Lions getting penetrated.

I can understand his point. Who would want their teenage daughter dating a senior. Although, to be fair, aren’t you only in your forties? You’re still A good 20 years away from being a senior.

#16191 4 years ago

Wait, how old is Leslie anyway?

I guess if it was one of her friends it wouldn't be so bad.

3 Thanksgiving Day NFL football games, Thur Nov 28, 2019:

Bears favored by 5-1/2 points over Lions in Detroit.
The o/u is a measly 37 points. Fox tv.

Bills at Dallas, Cowboys favored by 6-1/2 points. CBS tv.
Go Bills!

Saints at Atlanta, 7pm ct NBC. Saints favored by 7 over Falcons.
Go Saints!
Note: Falcons beat Saints in NOLA a few weeks ago.

Neighboring towns in the northeast have been playing each other on turkey day since they invented football.

I’m with John on that one. Lots of good historical HS rivalries down in these parts. Neshaminy v. Pennsbury, Father Judge, St. Joe’s Prep, etc.

Quakertown v. Pennridge this year. Huge rivalry, and not far from Allentown/Pinfest.

And pretty awesome the last two years that WIP sponsors and airs one chosen rivalry game each year, Jon Ritchie (former Eagle/Raider) does the play by play, and Howard Eskin does the sideline reporting.

Probably feels pretty cool for the kids that their game gets national airtime, and on the same outlet as Eagles games.
