Of course the Lions would get falsely called for hands to the face when the Packers would otherwise be held to a field goal with time left for a final Lions drive.
I can't believe the way this final drive is going down. A bad call that extends the Packers Drive. The Lions try to let the RB score, but he sure down. Kneel downs to milk the clock...then a super short FG to end the game. Wow!
Tough night for the Lions. I hear you. My team has been on the wrong side of some calls, too. We didn't even have the luxury of real officials for one of those games. Another one was the catalyst for replay review.
Officiating has been bad all year. In this game alone there were bad calls on both sides (we had a BS holding call, can't recall the others because a win helps to forget). That PI wasn't much of PI to me, he still had a play at the ball. It was NEVER getting overturned as you know if you've watched the NFL this year.
The hands to the face? I don't think it's as clear as what I've been hearing. He got his hands up around the area. Twice. I'm sure he got a warning after complaining about the first one (don't put your hands near his face if you don't want the call). It would have been hard to see from where the ref was standing. Seinfeld did an entire episode on it.

Everyone loves to blame the officials...yes they make bad calls, but those typically even out throughout the game...the Lions lost because they sucked in the red zone and gave up too many big plays

you are not paying attention or as biased as the refs IF you really dont see that much is orchestrated.
That game last night is a perfect example of that bias and how this game was produced for the GB win.
Sometimes they orchestrate it all smoothly and things turn out so nobody sees it as egregious... other times it is blatantly obvious.
