Go Hawks
Quoted from Ronnie1114:
Go Hawks
they did very well...defence stepped up tonight, considering the injuries they have.
Looking to see how much the NFL turns their head to the Gronk situation. Should be minimum 3-5 games.
Quoted from Ronnie1114:
Go Hawks
I'm torn. Hawks winning basically means my Rams have to win up in Seattle to win the division. However, if Rams take care of Philly next week at home, they could be in position for a first round playoff bye.

Horrible, career threatening attack by Gronk but if you think the NFL turns their heads on the Patriots, what world are you living in? Any normal penalty in the NFL multiply it times 5 if it's the Patriots. They lost a 1st round draft pick and their QB for 4 games over a pound of unprovable air pressure!
I expect a suspension through the end of the playoffs, loss of a first round draft pick and a Brady/Belichick suspension for the Steelers game.
Seriously, Gronk does need to get suspended but lets not go crazy - this attack received a zero game suspension
Rumor has it Brylcreem Mcadoo is getting canned today.
Archie said Saturday that Eli just might retire instead of playing somewhere else. I don't see it.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:
Check the schedule. Lions have easiest schedule and will win the north.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:
Vikings have the brutal 3 in a row also. Doubt they even make the playoffs.
Quoted from Dee-Bow:
Im picking them to win the north
Dude, who cares? I say stupid shit all the time. Lions shit the bed. Big whoop. Move on.
Aren't you a cowboys fan anyways?
3-5 games for Gronk for that?!? Come on now let's get serious. Unless you mean they give him 3 games and it's reduced to 1 which is standard.
The stupid part is ownership even allowing Eli's streak to be broken and not shit canning those 2 as soon as they heard it.
What are you waiting for? To see if 2 back up QBs can beat a not very good Raiders team? Like if Geno Smith threw for 5 TDs then you'd really feel good aboot it?

If Eli were smart he'd hang it up. he's got two rings, he's rich, and his brain doesn't seem to be jelly yet.
I don't get the Giants, really. At this point they are still in contention for the #1 draft pick, so why not let porn stache and co. finish up the season?
I'm not really sure what happens now. Is Eli starting again? Does anybody care?
I'm a Redskins fan, and I'd be thrilled to see them lose out at this point. I'd think most Giants fans feel the same way.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:
Is Eli starting again?
He's starting again....that's why it was so pointless.
No reason to retire now. Gonna have DEN in the mood for a QB soon.
EDIT: In contention for #2 maybe....Browns aren;t giving up #1
How good even is Eli anymore.? It's not like the Giants have been good in years. 2011 is a long time ago. Now that the niners won, the Giants seem to be a lock for #2 overall pick.

Better than Geno Smith.
They made the playoffs last year, and the entire offense is injured so um...might be a bit early to throw dirt on Eli's grave.
And it's only one because he hit his head... Which I don't think he meant to do. Is he going to appeal it done to no games?
Quoted from TheLaw:

Seriously? Seems like targeting the head of an immobilized and defenseless player long after the whistle warrants a trip to the penalty box. It's hard to believe he wasn't aiming for the guy's head -- White was lying on the ground not moving, and no one bumped or tripped Gronkowski. I figure a pro athlete generally puts his body precisely where he means to unless someone or something gets in his way.
Gronkowski's appealing, of course. I hope they just transcribe his locker-side comments and submit that as the appeal.
“I don’t really believe in the type of shots like that, but just due to frustration process, game of football, emotions, just, just...that’s what happened.”

No doubt, best thing for the Giants is to lose out, even though intentionally tanking can ruin a team (Exhibit A, the 76ers).
That said, shouldn't you be rooting for the Redskins to lose too? Or are you still immersed in a wild card pipe dream?
Quoted from fosaisu:

We can agree to disagree. That's just what i think "knowing" Gronk, which of course I do not. I think he just lost it and tried to ram the guy and hit head was there. Anyway, doesn't make any difference he hit the guys head.
Quoted from fosaisu:

With most athletes I would agree; but Gronk is just too goddamn big for his own good. He can do great things but he still looks like a lumbering giant stomping around most of the time.
EDIT: And I'm fine suspending him...i was just saying I didn't think the league would. It's like a man that big elbowing you in the back is a sweet deal or anything.
Packers, Ravens, Browns, Steelers....gonna be hard for Browns to win at least 2 of those games.
49s have Texans whcih is winnable, Titans, Jags, Rams all loses
Think the Browns will go winless? They play Chi on Dec 24. Best chance for a win. Chi doesn't want any more wins. I think Den is the same. Don't want anymore wins. Already lost 8 straight.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:
Think the Browns will go winless?
No I've already said above they are going to beat Chicago. 0-16 is almost impossible....and I've seen it first hand.
They'll be playing for pride and bears wont give a shit.

Tanking is real this year!
Living in New England has been rewarding as a Patriots fan for many many years.

Only Gronk knows for certain (if he can remember). But regardless, the league can't just ignore this with all the CTE stuff coming out now. Nor should they IMO. If a one-game suspension is out of line with the league's normal practices then they should step up the penalties for post-whistle violence. There's not much worse than a pointless, dirty hit that could easily have seriously injured another player.
But speaking of, maybe Gronk can use CTE as a defense with the league, I'm sure he's taken his share of shots to the head over the years. In that context, his locker-side speech might be valuable evidence after all ...

Well there's got to be some recompense for tolerating all the Massholes, right?!?
Man it’s so tough to watch/follow my chefs..waiting for a change; maybe get rid of Bob Sutton the D coordinator? Only thing the chefs r cooking up r a bunch of ugly fn losses..

Of course agreed on all sides buuuuuut, spoilers, the league doesn't give a shit aboot CTE. Or the players, or their health, or their families etc etc...bottom line only.
Holy crap! Did anyone else just see that? Shazier lowering his head?
I immediately thought that a dude just got paralyzed. Then they showed the replay. Yuck.

Agreed. While I do not believe Gronk is a dirty player, there is no place in football for what he did. He should be suspended. Should a flag have been thrown for PI against him? Absolutely, probably two different times on that one play. As Law said, Gronks too big for his own good.....he gets players draped all over him constantly cause no one can defend him, he just got fed up with it then and let loose.......he needs to keep his cool.
Has Jon Gruden ever seen a penalty on MNF? If the goddamn tuck rule happened now on MNF he'd complain
EDIT: Of course whilst I'm typing that he saw one...touche` Chucky.

You'd think he was still coaching the way he complains of penalties. Since Torico left mnf is getting to be unwatchable with the volume on. What happened to the "this guy" and "man, he's great! He's just a football player" Chucky?
I hope he goes back to coaching so I don't have to listen to it anymore.

Steelers are lucky to be in the AFC!
And if they can just beat patriots, they will just about wrap up home-field throughout the playoffs. After last years beat down, you figure they are going to be really motivated.

Well they chnaged their D to better fit against NE but 2 things are hanging out there large.
If Shazier is out they can't beat NE
Watching the Red Rocket/Rushing carve that D up like a christmas goose gave me absolutely zero confidence they can hang with NE.

Cowboys win out and Seahawks lose out (somehow!) They play eachother yet! Cowboys sneak in with the final wild card spot at 10-6 ! There, i said something even dummererer!

The Patriots lost their best linebacker and signal caller Dont'a Hightower for the season in week 5. Good teams like the Steelers will find a way. They are well coached and have some of the top skill position players in the NFL. And, probably most important, they are finding ways to win games they shouldn't have won. A lot of teams ride that kind of resilience to the SB. They will be fine.

Brownies get their first win today?
That seems to be a popular upset pick today even though I'm not sure it would be that much of an upset... GO BROWNS!
Quoted from dirkdiggler:
Wow! Can't see anything but white in Buf
Boy haven't seen one like that since the det/phili game a few back

Uff there's a reason you're 0-12...13. They had every chance and blew it so hard.
