Carr has to be the regular season MVP. The award will go to Matt Ryan (a deserving candidate) but look how the Raiders imploded once Carr went down. As good as Brady was this season, the Pats still went 3-1 when he was out.

Brady went 11 - 1 as a starter. 28 TDs vs 2 INT. Broke the td to int record. And led his team to league best record.
I'd say Brady is mvp. Ryan 2nd and Rogers 3rd.
Quoted from Deaconblooze:Alright, I'm 0-2, and those games sucked. I hope Pete Carroll stubs his toe real bad.
I'm 1-1. I wasn't really expecting Sea to lose but I was hoping.
Good roughing the passer call, but also good on Dupree for seeing the opportunity to lick the QB, and taking it. He was just a tad too high.
I'm excited for some Eli madness.
Have the Steelers and Pats ever met in the playoffs in the new millenium?

I was just wondering the same thing. I don't think so.
The emphasis has always been on Brady and Manning in the AFC. Probably because the Steelers have been up and down. When they're good, they're really good but then they'll throw in a couple of .500 seasons and you'll forget about them. It'll be interesting to see how Belichek gameplans for Bell and Brown. I hope both teams stay healthy so we can see how that will play out.
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:In the AFC, screw the Patriots, screw the Steelers, go KC!! In the NFC, go Cowboys.
I admire your desire for something different but I still believe the champ is gonna be someone who was there before.
Cowboys are gonna screw up like hey always do. I don't believe they'll even make the SB.
Quoted from dmbjunky:Have the Steelers and Pats ever met in the playoffs in the new millenium?
2001 and 2004 AFC Championship games. Pats won both.
Hopefully KC will kick the Steelers ass next week so we don't have to see NE/PIT 3.

I think I remember '04. Wasn't that Roethlisburger's rookie season? And didn't the Steelers have the best record in the NFL?
If I'm correct, I think the Steelers had the best record, lost in their first game coming off bye. Next year they were a wild card and the Colts had the best record and lost in their first game coming off bye. Steelers win SB. Next year Colts were wild card and win SB. I remember thinking it was interesting pattern.
Quoted from dmbjunky:And didn't the Steelers have the best record in the NFL?
Yeah I think they were 15-1

That's why I'm glad it would be at NE...both those were in Pitt
Quoted from Deaconblooze:Whatever happens, at least this one is a game.
No one can figure out how to dominate this one.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Man this game is crazy. GB starting to really put the wood to em.
Yeah it's over after that turnover
Can't make the mistakes the Giants did and expect a win. Good job Aaron Rogers and the rest of the Packers.
Heads up play by Matthews. I was just bitching about guys letting the ball lay on the ground. If there's even an ounce of doubt, pick it the hell up!
Rough end to a lame weekend of football. Astropin, I'll PM to arrange transfer of your winnings - GB appears to have covered the spread!

Thanks.....and chuckwurt has already covered his. Thanks boys. Now I hope they get crushed next week.
All four of the wildcard teams (Raiders, Lions, Dolphins, Giants) were eliminated in the first round of the play-offs.
The four home field teams all won their 1st round play-off game.
Next up:
AFC Div Round Play-offs
#4 Hou Texans at #1 N.E. Patriots, Sat, Jan 14, 7:15 pm CT, CBS
#3 Pitt Steelers at #2 K.C. Chiefs, Sun, Jan 15, Noon CT, NBC
NFC Div Round Play-offs
#3 Sea Seahawks at #2 Atl Falcons, Sat, Jan 14, 3:30 pm CT, Fox {early pts spread: Atl favored by 4 to 4-1/2 points}
#4 G.B. Packers at #1 Dallas Cowboys, Sun, Jan 15 | 3:40 pm CT, Fox
I will be pulling for these teams to win: Texans, Chiefs, don't care, and the Packers
How I think it will go down: These teams will win: Patriots, Steelers, Seahawks, Packers
Atl is really good. The defense may be mediocre but that offense is legit. They were lighting up some top defenses.
Rodgers hit on another Hail Mary. Great 2nd half by the Pack. I hope they can do the same thing in Dallas.
Quoted from Rondogg:Raiders, Lions, Dolphins and Giants fans are now invited to root for the Patriots. We'd love to have you and know you were just waiting for an invitation. Welcome aboard.
Early lines on divisional games
SEA @ ATL -4.5
HOU @ NE -15.5
PIT @ KC -1
GB @ DAL -4
Right now im thinking ATL, HOU, KC and GB on spread with ATL, KC, NE, GB winning straight up.

I'll take ATL to cover
HOU to cover
PIT to cover
GB to cover
As expected, not a single upset this weekend.
Giants-Packers game was the only interesting game of the 4, and even that one was not close by the 4th quarter.
Super happy the Giants lost though.
Quoted from Rondogg:Raiders, Lions, Dolphins and Giants fans are now invited to root for the Patriots.
I'll be rooting for every team that plays the Patriots until they are eliminated.
