What success?

#76802 37 days ago
Quoted from boscokid:

Cincy fans already doing their best 'The Fox And The Grapes'. Since Higgins sucks, please send him to Detroit for a conditional 5th rounder.

Higgins is great, Chase is better, can’t pay both given the WR market. No sour grapes here, maybe he can reunite with TLaw

#76803 36 days ago

WTF is going on with the Chiefs, another player arrested today for domestic violence and burglery. That's 3 or 4 now.

#76804 36 days ago

Gotta watch those tush pushes

The Eagles managed to extend AJ Brown and Devonta Smith who would be #1 receivers on a lot of teams.

Devonta Smith could be the #1 on a bottom dwelling team maybe (Or KC).

Take into account he shares receptions with AJ and Goedert.

AJ wasn't there in 2022 & all WR sshare receptions with other WRs & TEs.

Be interesting to see if he makes a the big year 3 leap.

Smith in first 3 years has stats that are comparable to CeeDee Lamb, Tyreek Hill and company. Sure he’s a bit less than Lamb but in the ballpark, 1 fewer TDs than lamb in 1 more game played by Smith. 10th all time in receptions in first 3 years.

Quoted from rai:

Smith in first 3 years ...

He's a fine receiver no doubt & would love to have him, but he's bottom third of the league.

Stats are fun, but does anyone really say Devonta's name in the same air as Lamb Or Tyreek? Sorry, anyone not an Eagles fan?

#76812 36 days ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

he's bottom third of the league

2023 stats.

Justin Jefferson 68 receptions 1074 yards 5 Td's
Devonta Smith 81 receptions 1066 yards 7 Td's

Lamb had 181 targets in 2023 to get 1749 yards. Smith 112 targets to get 1066 yards. Lamb had more balls thrown his way than any receiver. Smith must be the best bottom 3rd receiver in the history of the NFL.

I mean those 2 have been in the league longer. WRs often get better as 4-5th years like AJ Brown.

Smith has only 3 years to be talking about. I’m not saying he’s like Jefferson or Moss in his first 3 years but he’s on the top20 of anyone in his first 3 years. Not top20 currently active but top20 all time.

Nico Collins had 3 less targets, same catches, better average, yards, & a td. Truly Nico Collins must be on track to be rhe next Tyreek hill.

You realize Jefferson played in 10 games, right?

For the amazing things the Eagles supposedly do, just remember they could have taken Jefferson one pick earlier.

How about our Roughriders.. interception w/30 secs left. Only to ser up the game wining field goal with no time on the clock. We're 2-0 y'all..

Just watched the UFL championship game.. It's not the.most exciting football. Not surprising, considering the best players are undrafred ex nfl'er's who all got waived from practice squads. I dunno which is better..cfl or that.. maybe they should play to decide! Or does the UFL champ already play another league's champ?? Or I'm I high as giraffe nuts and just ramblin'?!

#76822 36 days ago
Quoted from Dee-Bow:

To even suggest the UFL is as enjoyable as the CFL is like pissing on Gord Downie's grave.

Philadelphia Eagles Linebacker appears to be in a video chased by an OnlyFans model…
https://amp.marca.com/en/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/2024/06/16/666f154c268e3eb4468b458b.html

I’d use the term ‘Eagles linebacker’ loosely. He signed a reserve future contract whatever that means.

From the article it says “Since last season, Terrell has had trouble staying on a team roster. He signed with the Eagles on January 18, a reserve/future contract before that he was waived by the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears.”

Here’s my thoughts on the matter. This guy seems like he’s at the end of the roster maybe lucky to make the practice squad. But he can go either way up or down.

Now my feeling if that was me, I’d be like Mr. football. I’d be doing 4x as much work as the next guy on the team to try and get better. Also I’d keep my head down as far as scandals were concerned in fact I’d probably be donating plasma to orphans and rescuing cats stuck in trees or whatever was possible to get me on the good side of the news.

Anyway it seems like this guy might not be 100% all in on football as a career and he’ll be working at a car wash or something similar and thinking what could have been.

Just read a bit more, apparently he ran out on 2 escorts before paying. Maybe he was going to give them a reserve future payment.

Here’s a video of the incident. Maybe the lady should learn that if the John is getting fully dressed including shoes it’s a bad sign as for the available payment.

Yes, she almost caught him and she was barefoot and naked. Someone in the comments said they should bring back nude Olympics like it used to be in Ancient Greece that girl would be a heck of a sprinter.

Lesson learned. Always pay the ho. He'll be unemployed by the start of the season.

F#*king show is just a nuisance and distraction during camp

#76832 35 days ago

The preseason hard knocks is good because we're all football starved. The in-season hard knocks I can't seem to get into. It's behind by a full week, and there's constant coverage. I can't normally bring myself to care about the behind-the-scenes shit from a particular team. Maybe the whole division will be fun? Especially one as competitive as the AFCN?

Follow a division that went 1-3 in the playoffs last year?! Whoppee

Quoted from TheLaw:

I’m not sure about that one bit. He’s probably number one most teams.

This list has Devonta Smith at number 82 player in the league (all positions). Only 12 WR listed higher than Smith. If you count teams with 2 players at or higher than Smith (Philly, Miami, SF) that leaves 22 teams that don’t have a WR ranked as high as Smith.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-top-100-players-of-2024-patrick-mahomes-reigns-again-myles-garrett-top-defender-in-priscos-rankings/amp/
I admit this list is subjective but you can’t possibly name 14 better WR than Smith. One player that has been better was Cooper Kupp but he’s hardly healthy anymore.

[quoted image]

I'm going to attempt this off the top of my head

Justin Jefferson
Ceedee Lamb
Devante Adams
Tyreek Hill
Amon Ra St. Brown
Mike Evans
Puka Nakua
Cooper Kupp
Stefan Diggs
Keenan Allen
AJ brown
DK Metcalf
Deebo Samuel
Terry Mclauren

I admit I was struggling a bit toward the end of my list but I was also having to resist the temptation to put at least 2 of the packers WR's that a lot of people are sleeping on on this list. I'm sure theres also probably some obvious ones I'm missing too. I dunno, maybe Smith is better than I give him credit for but its not like the Eagles are a bad team, I feel like he'd stick out to me more if he was really a top 15 WR...

Some might say DJ Moore is better (he's hiding on that list at #84) since he's never had a real QB before.

#76837 35 days ago

DSmith's numbers look better than I would have expected. My question is still whether his frame can survive in the NFL.

#76838 34 days ago

Olave, Wilson....

Quoted from rai:

I admit this list is subjective but you can’t possibly name 14 better WR than Smith.

He's a 1100 yard 7td WR dude, good pass catcher & fantastic player. Right around Hopkins, Pittman Jr, Amari Cooper etc etc.

#76839 34 days ago

It's a bit of word play I guess because there are teams that have lame #1 WRs. The point is, I don;t think a lot of folks outside of Phila are watching Devonta dreaming they had him. Him Or Calvin Ridley?

He gets an emotional boost because we all thought he'd be laying broken in pieces by now.

AFC North is likely the most competitive and toughest division in football so not sure what your point is

He was 166 pounds in college. They’re saying he put on 20 pounds this offseason and is now 190.

Just bustin' ya balls! But they did only win one playoff game.. also, I thought the NFC East is the best division.

3-12-2 or 12-3-2 as long as both ties are vs Cowboys
