Quoted from chuckwurt:Dalton is a top ten QB in the reg season. Playoffs, not so much.
Marvin Lewis is Dalton's problem. Like someone said, worst coaching staff in the league...he cost us the playoff game last year with his *#cking bullshit calls.

Quoted from chuckwurt:If you get an early pick in fantasy, you taking him?
Not round one, I'm not that big of a homer. He looked great last year but he's a little risky.
Quoted from TheLaw:GB wins division easy, SEA/ARZ split 1 wildcard...chances are slim right off the bat. Although I'm not thinking of any other teams off hand.
I think Vikings win division. Great D and emerging QB. Rodger's constant whining and complaining is starting to sour alot of Packers fans. Used to really like him. Now not so much. Also think McCarthy is overrated and Packers should already have at least 2 super bowls with him
Quoted from str8cash:..Rodger's constant whining and complaining i Also think McCarthy is overrated a...
These are all personal matters you have with the team that DO NOT factor into what they do; trust me I know. Aaron rodgers is a punk, and a douche (flank perks up) we all know that, and McCarthy is a fucking nobody making shit ass calls to lose games more than Rex Ryan (Flank is seething!) but they got a good team in a shithole division and showing up they can win or get a wildcard

I agree with 80% of what u said
Rodgers is a douche, but he's our douche. MM is a good prep coach, but he's a pretty poor game manager. Our team is what it is because our ability to draft and develop.
I think the division will be pretty tough this year. Even the Lions turned it on toward the end of the year. Although.. I just remember Megatron retired, so they probably won't be a factor.
I think the Bears will take a step back with the loss of Gase. Any offensive scheme switch will do a little to set you back. You have to let everyone learn and get comfortable with a whole new playbook. Cutler was better last year, but I don't think he has the leadership qualities to smooth over a transition in year 1.
The Vikings will be interesting to watch. The best thing that we have going for us is that Bridgewater (if he's going to be any good, and I'm still not convinced he will be) and AP will be heading in different directions. AP will inevitably trend down at some point. He's done well to fend off father time, but we all know the toll time takes on RBs. I don't think Teddy will be able to beat us on his own for at least a couple more years. He's just not that kind of talent.
Just my impressions. I like the Packers to win the division. I'm nervous for what comes after that.
Quoted from TheLaw:These are all personal matters you have with the team
Dude, I don't even like the Packers and dislike the Vikings more. Packers seem likes wasted talent. Had a young opportunistic D when they won with a veteran Woodson leading them. He's gone, Raji retired, and goldilocks Mathew is all they have. Maybe they'll figure out how to cover a onside kick too. Ouch... too soon?
I think the Vikings will win the division this year that's all. Young D seems to be jelling and Bridgewater seems to be legit. Peterson has 1 or 2 good years left and seems to be the next team to emerge from a historical bad division.
Quoted from TheLaw:Oh I didn't even look into that today...no way they'd let him go.
Yeah, Elway misplayed that negotiation, resulting in a pissed off player and Denver out an extra $10m in guaranteed money. But hopefully Von can put that all behind him when that first massive check clears, and get back to punishing Cam and Brady.
Quoted from str8cash:I think the Vikings will win the division this year that's all.
Shit I guess they won last year didn't they?! Fair enough

ha no offense meant sorry...was just trying to fire up flank.

typical...thats a good thing actually...he needs rest. I loved Pitt drafting him but I watched him all through college...he doesnt have a long career ahead of him

Yeah, Williams did a good job filling in last year. The funny thing is he didn't get suspended for a failed test, he didn't even show up for it, lol

Might be referring to his assistant coaching roles too. But yeah he was a bad head coach.

He doesn't have any good ones.
How hard should I root for the N.O. Saints this year?
Root hard and help will them into the play-offs, -or- give up early on in the season to help keep my sanity?
This is a real question.
They could make it as a wildcard team this year, correct?

If they finish with the 5th or 6th best record in the NFC, sure.
Quoted from chuckwurt:If they finish with the 5th or 6th best record in the NFC, sure.
I was looking for a bit more insight and analysis.
Seems like one of the NFC Wildcard teams will come from the NFC West.
...and that Carolina Panthers will win the NFC South, Vikings will win NFC North, and no clue who will win the weak NFC East.
Guess I will pull for the Saints to get the 2nd NFC wildcard spot.
Would love to see the Saints win the Superbowl in Feb, 2017.
Quoted from Pinball-is-great:Guess I will pull for the Saints to get the 2nd NFC wildcard spot.
This probably isn't going to happen.

Am I missing something? A lot of people picking the Viqueens! Did Bridgewater get good in the offseason? I know they have a good D, but Bridgewater hasnt shown much at all, and AP is aging.

I was thinking the same thing. I also think going back to a dome is a mistake for the Vikings.

Their football stadium is a dome, but their baseball stadium is open air. I have a tough time figuring that one out.

I will root for the Twins to make it to the World Series. I would like to see them play night baseball at the end of October there.

This is one of the stupidest "make fun of the other team" nicknames I've ever seen.
Please stop it, these nicknames only make the user look like an idiot.
In unrelated news, i'm picking my Washington Foreskins to win the NFC East, easily. The Cowgirls will suck as usual and this is Romo's last season as a starter there.
It's crazy that you can just keep screwing up and then get reinstated eventually. I mean how many second chances do you get before finally getting banned? Last round pick for me is gonna be Gordon to hope for lightning in a bottle this season. Not likely though. When is the last time he actually played? A season and a half ago?
Gordon won't last the season.....shame too, the guy has real talent but, obviously not enough brain to take advantage of it.

Don't get me wrong the guys an idiot, but it is just weed. I read that the NFL will be really softening their position on weed suspensions.

They'll do so eventually, country as a whole is clearly heading that way and it's hardly a PED.

I agree with you, it's hardly worth the time, but you'd think he'd ease up to get through his testing. My understanding is that the players are given in excess of thirty days notice of pending test dates.
Quoted from Jaybird815:Don't get me wrong the guys an idiot, but it is just weed. I read that the NFL will be really softening their position on weed suspensions.
Agreed on the weed front. No big deal at all. But if this guy cannot follow the rules time and time again, needs to get the boot. I will say the same thing for Vontaze Burfict if he keeps up the on field cheating after his suspension. Makes no sense to me how these players cannot get these simple ideals through their heads.
Quoted from Jaybird815:Am I missing something? A lot of people picking the Viqueens!
Oh, I'll be pulling for the Packers as usual, but I just don't see it this year for them.
Not saying the Vikings are great, but the Vikings have been on an up-tick the past 3 years.
Da Bears have not been very good the past 5 years or so.
....and you can't count on the Detroit Lions to hoist the SB trophy. They haven't won a play-off game since the early 90's, and often they don't even make the play-offs. It's cool with me if they make the play-offs, but I'll be surprised if they make it to NFC Championship game.
The Packers have been very consistent over the past 20 to 25 years:
* made the play-offs 6 times in a row in the 90's, and won a SB
* made the play-offs 12 times during 2001-2015 seasons
* made the play-offs 7 times in a row 2009-2015 seasons, and won a SB
.

Gordon is trying to beat Steve Howe's record. I think MLB suspended him 9 times for drug infractions.

Dang. I thought strawberry or Doc would've had that record. Haha
