You were saying?

It still was a better catch. But Rodgers made one of the best throws ever!

#6002 4 years ago

Did we just witness the first re-flip?

#6003 4 years ago

Ref screws up coin flip. LMAO

#6004 4 years ago

does it even matter if it flips can hit ground and turn any which way. How the hell do you do a re flip

#6007 4 years ago

bs

I've never heard that, didn't GB win the first flip? Plus that non-pass interference call.

#6008 4 years ago

"It didn't flip", Seriously? If I was a Green Bay fan I'd have a few choice words about these refs. Missing interference calls is one thing but the coin flip?...

#6009 4 years ago

ho;y fucking shit now i've seen everything

#6010 4 years ago

I think the Eagles defense snuck onto the field for that Fitz play.

#6011 4 years ago

Ok, that's a good finish.

#6012 4 years ago

Best game of the year! Fitzgerald is just insane.

Classy as hell and just an amazing player.

#6013 4 years ago

Meanwhile Jason White polishes his trophy in quiet solitude

#6014 4 years ago

Who's the guy in the suit?!

#6015 4 years ago

Nice win Cards

#6016 4 years ago

Best team won again! Who will be the first upset in playoffs?

#6017 4 years ago

Fitz defies age!

#6018 4 years ago

not many "upsets" left except perhaps Steelers

#6019 4 years ago

Well, that was entertaining. I can only imagine how the packers fans must feel now, magical recovery only to lose the game immediately after that. Packers go packing!

#6020 4 years ago

Palmer's off the schneid. Drinks are on chuckwurt!

#6021 4 years ago

Man what a game. Keeps my $1250 Cardinals win the super bowl ticket alive. Woo Hoo!!!
Palmer finally wins a playoff game

#6022 4 years ago

Yep, Steelers only upset team left...

#6023 4 years ago

I'd love to see a player bring a red challenge flag out to the coin toss.

#6024 4 years ago

I want the cards to win it all. Both Palmer and Fitzgerald deserve it. Fitz needs to win one before he ends up in Canton. Palmer is likely a hall of fame candidate as well if he keeps up his crazy numbers.

#6026 4 years ago

Check out this stat line from ESPN.com.

The last 2 Cardinals-Packers playoff games:

Both at Arizona
Both went to OT
Both ended on 3rd OT play
Cardinals won both

Quoted from Ronnie1114:

Fitz defies age!

Considering now he is a HUGE part of their blocking game. Since he moved to the slot and picks up the blitz constantly he has really become a complete package instead of just a vertical threat.

Palmer HOF?

his W-L record is barely over 500 83-78

Tim Hasselback has more wins and a better win percentage so maybe Tim's a HOF candidate now?

Haha. Anyone that comes to LAX in March, I'll get you a beer. Just happy for Palmer. Certainly a class act.

#6031 4 years ago

yes, well according to my logic these are the QB well ahead of Palmer

locks
Peyton
Brady
Ben
Drew Brees
Rodgers

not locks
Eli
Flacco

Palmer has a worse win percentage than Mark Sanchez, Palmer was born the same year as Brees but has 46 less wins and 20,000 less yards.

Eli

Only one QB with two SB MVPs is not in the Hall of Fame.

#6033 4 years ago

This game literally gave my wife hives...lol. Fitz's playoff performances are EPIC...stiff arm he delivered was so beastly!

I'm going to paste you a hall of fame QB's from the modern era's stats.

-----------------------Games Attemps Comps PCT YDS TD INT QBR
NFL Career Totals 165 4,715 2,898 61.5 32,942 165 141 81.6
-
Now Carson Palmer
-
NFL Career Totals 160 5443 3413 62.7 40,036 259 166 88.1

Care to guess who that first person with lower stats is in every category? He's a 3x super bowl winner and was inducted in 2006.

Still don't think CP is a hall of famer?

With stats like his, it stands to reason that the win/loss percentage isn't on his shoulders but that of a shitty defense. He's putting up the numbers needed to win games.

#6035 4 years ago

Is it Aikman? He's the only 3 time SB winner I can think of.

#6036 4 years ago

I'll guess Troy, he's got around the same numbers as Randall Cunningham but those 3 SB wins put him in not his stats. How many Playoff wins do Palmer have (one)?

Brady has 22 wins. 16 active QB have more playoff wins than Palmer.

The only thing I would say would be a detriment to comparing Aikman and Palmer's stats are they played in different eras. The passing stats of today are bloated when compared to the passing stats of the 90s. You have to judge Palmer with his peers. Did he stand out amongst the players of his time?

#6039 4 years ago
Quoted from dmbjunky:

Yup and his stats show aside from the super bowl wins he was a "decent" quarterback but Palmer is a better. The sad part is he had those stats with guys like Michael Irvin, Alvin Harper, and Jay Novacek to throw too.

#6041 4 years ago

Palmer won his first playoff game an hour ago. Putting him in the HOF at this point is LOL...maybe if they win the Super Bowl this year and you add in his collegiate career with the heisman...maybe.

Palmer only played in 1 other game (technically 2 but his first game in 2005 he got hurt on the first set and was out the rest of the game, only threw 1 pass).

I didn't say he was in, i said he was on the bubble but if he keeps putting up 350-400 yard passing games like he has the last 2 years consistently, he's in the discussion.

#6044 4 years ago

I would think Eli is a lock.....even though I've never personally cared for him.

#6045 4 years ago

Look at this cheap fucking shot:

#6046 4 years ago

Palmer's definitely a bubble guy even though he's had a long career. The Hall is pretty picky when it comes to modern QBs.

#6048 4 years ago

fuck. devastating.
