Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Bezos has never publicly shown any interest in buying and the “Bezos” stories seem to have been completely propped up by the press, who have refused to stop bringing
Him up.
I’m sure if he really wanted to buy the team he’d come up with whatever offer would be required to make bygones be bygones.
I’m glad everybody is finally giving up on this. Do not want him as owner.

For Bezos thats sock Money.

Quoted from rai:

What are your thoughts on players with year or more left on their contract who holdout because they’re underpaid?
I mean the owners can’t hold out of paying players who suck like Jalen Reagor.
It’s a contract that both sides agree on and should play as best they can until they are free agents.
I’m taking about Dexter Lawrence for example who has a 5th year option that he doesn’t like.
Ok that sucks the 5th year option or the franchise tag sucks but it’s in the collective bargaining agreement. If the players didn’t like it they would not have agreed to it. I’m sure they got other perks on the back like lifetime pension or healthcare (whatever) the owners didn’t like but it was agreed to so both sides give something they don’t like.
Now the 2-3% of players who are better than the 5th year option or the franchise tag don’t like it. But the same can go for draft bust or free agent busts the owners are overpaying some guys and some guys are underpaid.
I feel bad for guys like Austin Ekeler who’s very underpaid but there’s plenty of players like Carson Wentz who aren’t worth a damn who get multi millions more than they are worth.

Pretty common for top first round guys (mostly QBs) to get an extension with 2 years remaining on their rookie deals (including the option)

It will be interesting to see if extensions at 3+ years remaining becomes a thing. Kyler Murray tried this after year 2 but AZ resisted

Quoted from tomdrum:

Reports are Bezos is out on the Commanders. Expected since the Washington Post he owns has ripped Snyder over the years. Next up, the owners of the Sixers.

Being reported the deal is agreed upon and the Sixers guy will be the new owner

#57054 11 months ago

I hope it's the Canadian billionaire instead!

#57055 11 months ago
Quoted from Erik:Being reported the deal is agreed upon and the Sixers guy will be the new owner

Fact

Thank you Jesus. And screw all of you cowboys, eagles, and giants fans. The free ride is over.

Ok, so who is the worst nfl owner now? Irsay? Jerry? Are the bidwells still around?

Because the Sixers have won so much.

#57057 11 months ago

Trust the process

*Sixers are probably winning a 'chip this year (book it)

**i think levi was referring to d-bags, not to owners that won superbowls . My vote is for Irsay tho!

Quoted from rai:

Sixers are famously accomplished at tanking. Seems to have worked OK for the Eagles too, maybe time for the Commanders to give it a try.

Congratulations @crazylevi! I think we are all happy for you.

Whoever is in the new ownership group, can't be any worse than what you've suffered through.

Fuck the Commanders.

I'd like to see Snyder's capital gain tax bill.

I’m in Green Bay this weekend but hopefully I can make the parade in DC next week.

Truly, winning the off-season!

Enjoy that parade since there won't be one in February for years to come. Although I expect it will be before the parade in Dallas.

Without #12 to choke away a championship game whom knows?!

Randall Cunningham? McPuke was #5.

See you are living in the past.

The curse is over. I can sense your fear. I can feel your terror and insecurity.

You know you are 100 miles from a sleeping giant. And the giant is rousting itself from a quarter century slumber!!

Nothing stopping us. No reason we can’t win another Super Bowl or two in the next few years. You must realize there’s a ton of talent on that roster.

You said it yourself; “as an eagles fan I hope Dan Snyder owns the team forever!”

Tough titty dude. That’s history.

By the way Washington = 3 Lombardis

Eagles = 1

Hey maybe you’ll catch up one day!

#57068 11 months ago

Cowboys have 5

#57069 11 months ago

Oh great a Lombardi wagging contest, I'll see myself out.

This is where you whip out your literally ancient “NFL championship titles” from when there were 6 teams in the league.

We call this the “Cleveland Maneuver.”

Might be as long as the Bambino curse when the Red Sox waited 86 years for a championship.

Dream on Steve Tyler, the Deadskins are further away than a few years.

I did. I loved the tough titty reference. Been high school since I heard that!

The Bills and the Seahawks have more local Canadian fans.. isn't half of buffalo's season ticket holders from Ontario? I'm bordering north Dakota so closest team is probably the Vikes. I'll stick with my obnoxious cowboy's!

There's no parade for 2nd place either! 31 losers every year

The internet has shown no mercy to Big Ben for his hot take on Lamar...

Interestingly enough, that graphic doesn’t have a rings column.

Rent free... ?

#57083 11 months ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Rent free... ?

13 playoff wins vs 1

Baltimore averaged 188 passing yards per game last year iirc

Daniel Jones has as many Playoff wins as Lamar, Lamar was drafted the year before Daniel Jones.

Jones has played in 54 games and has 11,600 yards passing

Lamar has played in 70 games and has 12,200 yards passing

Not saying Lamar is bad but why is there are not a line of teams wanting to throw money at him? must be a reason.

Hated Big Ben , but dude won games. Most enraging moments of my NFL life have been watching him extend plays.

Dude was a fucking winner. Seeing him and dick bag Antonio PTSD brain Brown tear it up in the AFC North……. FML

#57085 11 months ago

Roses are red, Ravens are blue. Joe Flacco wins championships, Lamar Jackson is poo.

#57087 11 months ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

Mainly because his comment wasn't about winning or not - it was about teams fearing him in the pocket. Which is... wait for it.. what every stat in the graphic is about... minus the last one, which is a different kind of pocket

We all know BigBen's biggest strength wasn't in the pocket either.. it was his size and mobility combination that made him a tough man to bring down.

You probably don't need to be reminded Baker could've already been a Seahawk if Pete wasn't so enamored with Malik McDowell

#57093 11 months ago

Almost 2x what Wentz got on a 4 year extension.

I’m surprised about the no trade clause.

Quoted from rai:

Hopefully this deal turns out just as well for the eagles!

Joe Burrow is next up to break the highest contract ever.

Lamar should hire an agent ASAP.

#57098 11 months ago

How in the world did Hurts sign a contract? Lamar Jackson and the Ravens make it seem like an impossible task for a QB to sign a new contract with his existing team.

#57099 11 months ago
Quoted from rai:

Id hire OBJs agent. 15m guaranteed for a guy who probably wont play 8 games.

Lamar seems hyper-focused on getting the same guaranteed (230M) that Watson got - Hurts signed for more money but *only* 179M is guaranteed.
