CJ Stroud at the combine.

Quoted from TheLaw:

Hard to get one on the bench!

Well with that attitude....

#56203 1 year ago

Good on L. Jackson on looking to get paid. I think that he resembles a lil bit like that K. Murray in the desert..a quick, almost run 1st if you don’t see open receivers..or can’t really see a play developing. He’s deserving of that kind of $, but I think it’s all about the guaranteed $ that’s holding his contract. He’ll find a team, as there’s no denying his talent

Safe to say Packers fans knew this movie was coming before Smith started filming it

Rewatching it is a good move. There was a lot to take in.

Ill probably watch it 3 or 4 more times before I can put together my first big board.

#56210 1 year ago

It's all in the details....

Seahawks can bail on Geno after 1 year and 27.3M. The rest of his guarantee isn't paid till February 2024 and he can be cut before that if last year was a one hit wonder.

Smart.

Their draft order of ladies is confusing at best. Like watching a first round where the Bears have ever selection

Wearing the laundry gloves?

Of course....my skin ain't getting any softer.

Jets/Ravens trade Clark (safety) to Jets for late round pick.......next Jets acquire Lamar

#56217 1 year ago
Quoted from DudeRegular:

Rumors are he is broke and may not get unbroke.

Maybe we can send Stafford to Joe's Classic Video Games for repair?

#56218 1 year ago

Patriots in talks with Baltimore....with their defense that would be trouble for the Jets.

#56219 1 year ago
Quoted from DudeRegular:

He's got the 57 mil guaranteed still so broke is not likely. Really can't see any team taking him, to much money

Pretty sure he meant physically broken, not financially.

Broke as in can't throw not as in bank account

#56222 1 year ago

ha Stafford was in the last rookie class to get paid...he's been Ok since then.

But he had already had some BROKEN back bones before he went to LA and it's only gotten worse. Hang'em up dude; totally solid career.

#56223 1 year ago

Lifetime football earnings in excess of 300M plus has another 75M or so in guarantees coming his way seems like decent coin for a family guy whose largest expenses so far appear to have been a couple modest homes and several 1M charitable donations.

Career Earnings: $300,500,000
Career APY: $21,464,286
Potential Earnings: $422,000,000
Total Guarantees: $234,550,000
Largest Cash Payment: $61,500,000 (2022)
Largest Cap Number: $50,500,000 (2025)

Amazing how far money stretches when you aren't supporting a posse, buying a mega-yacht/jet airplane, or using your cousin as a financial advisor

Matthew Stafford, richest man in the graveyard. You can't take it with you, bro.

#56226 1 year ago
Quoted from fosaisu:

But you can set your family up for generations to come.

"Just think, Matthew, your grandson could be rich enough to own an NFL franchise himself. Or at the least to evade prosecution for DUIs and receiving strip mall hand jobs."

Bears just gave up the #1 pick.. Panthers get their qb of choice (prob Young? Or maybe Stroud?)

Bears get DJ moore and 4 picks

#56229 1 year ago

Great trade for Bears

#56230 1 year ago

Here we go again.7 weeks of useless chatter from the Panthers front office."Well we like all 4 QBs we just wanted to be in position to pick one"Bullshit! Just tell us who it is

Good trade for the Bears indeed....but Lamar isn;t worth 2 First Rounders?

Oh yeah...to 200+ million garensheed he wants

Yep. Someone send an offer and make the Ravens have to ponder it at least! (Hello Jets!) Sheesh! If he turned down $250 with $130 guaranteed..he's cray cray! Buut, mama knows best approach still in play!

It kills me at the draft when the team holding the #1 pick uses all the "on the clock" time before turning in the pick. They knew weeks before.

#56234 1 year ago

It'll be interesting to see if the bears use those picks to grab lamar. They have the cap space, and are currently relying on a RB to play QB.

I'd much rather they keep fields, but if I'm a franchise that's been searching for a legitimate qb for the last several decades, I just fell backwards into a pile of picks, and there's a 26yo former mvp that can't find a home..

Curious what jay thinks. Great haul today either way.

Bears got a pretty good haul from Carolina, their 1st rd this year and next, this years 2nd and 2025 2nd plus DJ Moore. I like it!!

#56240 1 year ago

I honestly think Da Bears need to retool and give Fields a decent Oline and some weapons. They can do that now. Winning teams invest in the trenches. If in 2 years Fields isn't the answer, you'll have the pieces in place for another QB.

They just got a massive haul from Carolina for the 1st pick!

My point exactly. So much flexibility to trade back, pick up more picks. That was a franchise changing trade that hopefully they capitalize on and think long term.

#56243 1 year ago

Carolina has a whole lotta faith in someone, crazy.

#56244 1 year ago

Gotta be Stroud.Frank Reich always goes for the tall pocket passers.

He was more or less just a throw in, salary dump by Carolina. Definitely upgrades the WR room tho.

Who was throwing to him last year?

#56248 1 year ago

Even if Fields busts, Chicago will be stacked in a couple years and they can replace him with a vet

TN traded the #1, later replaced Mariota when he busted, and built a competive team for a couple years due that trade

What are the thoughts from TN fans? Have they missed the bubble so to speak?

Yeah it was a good run but it's rebuild time. Hopefully they are able to re-sign Simmons. He's their only blue chip left
