Quoted from nwpinball:Brock Purdy was terrible during the first half
He was. I was ready to put in Garapolo at the half. I was wrong.
Quoted from nwpinball:I've watched football for 40 years, Brock Purdy was terrible during the first half. Tell me how you watch football and think he did well.
Well football is 4 quarters....in the end who did better Geno or Purdy?

Oh for sure, but you were giving me shit about my comment that both games were a tale of two halves, where the team that was dominate in the first half crumbled in the second half. What was super entertaining about both these games was the team that was on top in the first half was overcome in the second half, in a big way.

You must feel filthy picking the Niners instead of You know who.Works in the pool though

I gave you shit because u said the Seahawks dominated the first half, which is a complete joke. They kicked a long field goal at the end of the half to lead by 1.....They were clearly lucky to be ahead
Now we have to listen to sports talk all fuckign night arguing which 2nd half comeback was more amazing!!!
Tough call.

Well down 27 points is probably more of a surprise.

A rookie 3rd stringer who doesn’t turn the ball over, scores points and has his team competitive in a playoff game. That’s a pretty good first half in my book especially given what we saw from Lawrence.
Alright Confidence Pool, I get the feeling these numbers aren't going to get corrected. I think the best way forward is to start all wins from the top, all losses from the bottom for this week (if you won both games tonight, you get your 16 and 15. If you lost both tonight, you lost your 11 and 12, same idea for tomorrow). Next week we'll resume setting picks, but should probably plan to collect them manually.
I'll keep trying to get in contact with support. If we can somehow get picks restored, we'll stick with the original values over the contingency plan. If you have other ideas fire away. If you disagree with whatever we ultimately go with let me know and I'll return your funds.
Please don't let this post interrupt the hawks/niners shit talk.
Safe to say there is another coaching job opening up soon.. lots of talent in San Diego & staley not getting it done.
Quoted from Deaconblooze:Don't startle him!
Haha! I literally slept on the Jaguars! Looks like I missed a great second half!
Quoted from boscokid:Old guys in the thread self-identifying. I too slept through the Jaguars miracle comeback..........
In all fairness, I went out on a date with my wife and consumed my weight in alcohol...so I'm sure that had something to do with it, lol
Purdy is playing great, but huge props to the niners front office. They have put an incredible team together with seemingly very little desperation.
The Christian Mccaffrey trade took balls with his injury history, but man has it paid off.
Regarding Jags, has anyone in history thrown for 4tds and 4ints? Thats absolute insanity, did they even punt ?
Quoted from tomdrum:[quoted image]
Yes, but who voted for the jags in the confidence pool?
Quoted from Daditude:Yes, but who voted for the jags in the confidence pool?
I did?
Quoted from newovad:I did?
It was a coin flip for me. I went with the chargers, unfortunately

Just use a spreadsheet and forms to collect picks. U are talking a tiny data set

That would be great if it actually showed your numbers. The website shows all my picks as blank and if I switch to the drag and drop format, it shows them in the order that the games are played.
Quoted from Jamesays:Me too
I picked the Jags over the Chargers as well. I didn't want to pick all the favored teams, so I picked what I thought were the two most likely upsets, the Jags and the Giants. It looks like the biggest split in the Pinside picks is the Bucs v Cowboys game though.
Quoted from Goalie:Miami has no shot without Tua.
Ok. Now they are bringing Tua in.

Ha ha ha, I've actually picked against the Seahawks multiple times during the season. I've reached the point in my degenerate gambling hobby that I have zero problems picking the team that is likely to win and win me money over my hometown team I hope wins the game.
