Total scam. “Water traps” lol. Try digging down 40 feet on ANY small island.

It’s a total joke for suckers. There’s nothing there and there never was. Urban legend that got out of hand. That property has passed from huckster to sucker to huckster multiple times.

    Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

I could see it as a web series, but if general antique picking/hunting can barely survive I can't imagine a niche subject like pinball hunting would be successful on tv.

Plus, all of these shows are so fictionalized and sensationalized, it would just drive people who know anything about pinball completely nuts. They'd be like "WE FOUND THIS ULTRA-RARE ADDAMS FAMILY AND IT STILL WORKS!!" or some other ridiculous BS. Or act like their fix-it guy worked a miracle to bring a game back to life when clearly all he did was replace a fuse.

Truth is, most of the barn finds, forgotten warehouses, and other diamonds in the rough pinball-wise have been snatched up by now. Everyone's had The Google for decades now. I know there are still some out there, but not enough that a TV show could go find them on a regular basis. It could have been doable in say 2008 or so, but it'd be much harder to pull off now. They'd just end up faking all of it.

    Quoted from woody24:

Anyone else think they need to send a magnet on a string down the center of the shaft? Wouldn't that be a real easy way to tell if it's metal at the bottom? Granted they send the magnet down without any swing so that catches the side.

i suppose that'd be a great plan if iron weren't the 4th most common element in the Earth's crust.
