    That is lousy. I'm so sorry for you. The only thing that will help is time. We lost our cat Boots three years ago, she was 22. We waited a year and stopped by a shelter just to look around. Of course we came home with our new cat Casper that day. The vet at the shelter said all white cats are usually either really bad or super nice. We got the super nice version. She is a joy. I would love a dog but can't make the necessary time commitment. Don't be afraid to dive back in when the time comes. Grieving is natural but so is moving on. Best wishes and best of luck.
