My wife got this thing at a recycle shop for ten bucks, convinced it's worth way more but she can't find any markings on it or anything that matches it exactly. There are similar Ethan Allen ones around $130, but she's going nuts trying to find this exact one.
I figured you guys collect all kinda stuff, anybody recognize this?

Looks like a custom job where someone stuck the top half of an electric table lamp on top of a ship's bell.

It's probably not an antique, and if that was a real brass ship's bell, then the bell itself probably would have been worth more than the lamp it got turned into.

Did you try rubbing it three times?

I put my weed in there.

Did you try rubbing yourself 3 times? I mean come on...those places it's basically assumed.

EDIT: Oh snap i didn;t see you were so close to me Michigan wise....yeah you can rub yourself there.

I thought it looked like an old kerosene lamp that someone broke the globe so they electrified it. I told her it wasnt brass or an antique, but she is on a tear. You'd be surprised how many almost identical ones there are if you just Google "coffee grinder lamp". I think the think looks ridiculous.

No, it was never a kerosene lamp. It's the wrong shape.

Doh, so that's why it didn't quite look like a bell.

    Lol, me too.

You'll probably be lucky to get the ten bucks back.

Was it found on Oak Island?

Could it date back to the times of the Knights Templar?
