Dropped my Galaxy II into the pool this AM. Fished it out immediately but I don't think I was fast enough. Now I have a static screen and no functions. Is it hopeless? TIA!

I usually put it in a bag of rice for the night. So far i've ruined two Galaxy's from minor water damage. I recently upgraded one of my S4's to the water resistant S4 Active. I use my devices in a wet environment for work and so far haven't had any issues with it.
