The show is set to take place before Walter met Sol.
I am not sure how you could even put Walter in the show except maybe the final episode you could fast forward to the end and show new conversations etc with Walter.
I think Scott will be in this new show as well. Maybe even the chicken man himself, Gus.
Just one of those little media tidbits that I get on my phone. That is where I read it.
