I’ve recently acquired a 2003 LOTR and am in need of some insight regarding the original Orthanc tower facade. Mine slowly shimmies forward from the inner scoop over the course of a game, which eventually tightens the gap between it and the hammered in rail (behind the diverter post) enough to stop balls from getting through and dropping into the scoop.
I see there are some screws “accessible” (if you remove the POTD) on the outside of the tower, but they don’t appear to…do…anything? At least on mine…I expect the intention of those is to tighten the facade to the scoop so that this very thing doesn’t occur, but…
Anyone deal with this issue? Would love some ideas on how to resolve this!
