Good luck with your search. It would be a slam dunk for Stern to run another 500 of these toppers. With a cost of less than $75 and a sale price of $575 for a cool $250k profit and everybody is happy.

I agree but what’s the probability? What worries me is that they feel this way with a slam dunk accessory, what’s going to happen when we need critical parts or playfield parts like those mini LED boards for these machines?

Toppers have always been limited runs. The rest of that stuff has always been fairly readily available so don’t sweat it too badly!

Thanks, I'm only two years into collecting and I'm hooked but reality and sensibility are telling me that maybe I should scale back and only have one at a time to I don;t get burned on a machine that can't be repaired. I have a shooting arcade game (which is now a paperweight) that can't be repaired and I'd hate to be in the same position with a $7,500 machine.

You realize the majority of mechanical and most electrical parts they use in these games are used in hundreds of titles. They have been around for a long time you don't have to worry about paper weights.

Yes, but they have unique parts that if wrecked can be unobtanium. Locked on flasher can ruin a ramp, and outside of a few titles ramps can be nla. Was looking at a 24 today where the left ramp had a break, right ramp is easily found, but the owner had been looking for a left for years. I ran into this issue with radical which after a few years of searching and making a mold is why freeplay now sells the ramp.
