Hello Fellow pinsiders,
I have a beautiful restored original AFM and have been adding some mods to make it a little more slick looking (art blades, speaker panel, and alt Brian Allen translite on the way). Considering powder coating and wanted to get some thoughts on the following options. Please vote here!
Thanks!
Mike

Remembering this game from the 90s….I gotta go purist

Please don't, leave it Chrome like it was intended.
Of the 3 colors presented id rather sell the machine then go green or orange; so gross.

Art blades and such are fine in my book but any powder coat only looks tacky to me. Please stay original.

I like black ripple on some games and it wears well.

If I did this I'd like red or orange. But moat likely I'm gonna leave it chrome n

I would leave it chrome ,but if you really need color ,I’d go blood red sparkle .

I really like the original stainless steel look and feel. Powder coat is fine on the modern games, but powder coat trend on 90's restorations is way over done.

No powder coat. Show chrome on the lockdown bar, rails and hinges.

Ain't broke ... don't fix it!

Leave the chrome .

Thanks everyone for your opinions and votes. There clear winner is to do no powder and stay chrome. Then some kind of AFMr LE-like green was first choice of actual powder. Think I will try that but also keep my chrome parts on hand to go back to OG as needed.

The 90s pins always look way better the way they came and feel better leave it worth more the way it is

I have done about 10 of these WPC game restores and have always liked the original steel with a few chrome (TAF) or brass (IJ) mixed in but did my AFM in powder for a change and love it. The red really helps the art stick out which pictures dont do justice.
