Quoted from NiftyLED:

Im in this machine for X

Doesn't matter what you're into it for. Matters what you told him it was going to cost. It's not the customer's job to make sure you run a profitable business. Every single business since the beginning of time has lost money at least once due to an oops. Looks like it's your turn.

Eat the loss, learn from it, pray you haven't permanently tarnished your reputation, move on.

Quoted from RyanClaytor:

Over the course of this dispute, it sounds like each party made some poor decisions to "get the attention" of the other (Daniel posting the game for sale, and you posting this thread to publicly shame Daniel).

Ryan, I think you may be letting your relationship with Daniel cloud your judgement. You're equating someone attempting to commit a crime (selling another's property) with the victim outing a would-be criminal. One of these things is much, much, much worse than the other, if the latter is even bad at all.

Quoted from NiftyLED:

I dont think playboy plastics were even available when i first picked up the machine

CPR Playboy plastics have been available since at least May 2008, per the internet archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20080503034122/classicplayfields.com/photo23.html

Doesn't help your case to just make up crap that can be easily refuted.

What kind of business is this? Cooters Garage?

http://www.cootersgarage.com/ is available. That would at least clear up his URL issue.

Quoted from Sticky:

I'll do $2800 and $5 to chip in for a nice beer for you.

This is a much better offer than Nifty deserves. If he doesn't agree to that, I guess he's just hellbent on self-destruction and wants others to suffer in the process.

Edit: nevermind! Looks like sanity prevails.

Quoted from Sticky:

he just texted me if it isn't picked up by tomorrow I have to pay $100 storage fees per day

Didn't someone already quote the first law of holes? "If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging."

Quoted from Sticky:

Surfsidedetail can't pick it up until Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Niftyled threatened $100 storage per day.

I'd just ignore that bluster, have your guy(s) show up with $2,805 next week and take the game.

Or tell him it's $100 per day rental and send him an invoice for $73,000 to cover the two extra years he held it.

Quoted from jar155:

I can't make it more clear. I'm but defending anybody. FFS, why can't you understand that?

You can say “I’m not defending him” all you want, but you’re defending him.

You can say “there’s more to this story” all you want, but fail to provide it.

I understand it sucks to see everyone call your friend a piece of crap, but you’re not helping.
