Kia-driving pussy.

Hahaha! I love this! Everytime we see a guy driving a Kia, I always say to my wife "Look at that pussy driving that Kia!"

Quoted from ForceFlow:

Most of us are fairly trusting in this hobby with folks we interact with, but when we're talking significant amounts like this, both sides of the table really need to be very clear on what will be happening in order to avoid big disagreements like this.

This is true in ALL hobbies! I could've seen this happening to an amateur or casual restorer, that was NOT a business. The fact that the Nifty company IS a business has me left speechless. No documentation of price increases? Wow.

Hope the OP get's his merchandise back. I would have had a heart-attack if I saw one of my machines up for sale.

The thing I can't get over is how the restoration company didn't disclose any costs of the parts in actual dollar amounts on an invoice.

What king of business is this? Cooters Garage?

Any time I've ever seen restorations handled this way, even in other hobbies like automobile restorations, jukeboxes, motorcycles, etc. if the cost is NOT in writing, then the CUSTOMER supplies the parts to be used, and the restorer quotes mostly time and labor.

I REALLY have a hard time with the 2 and a half year time table. WTH??!? I've restored games in WEEKS after procuring all the parts.

Quoted from NiftyLED:

Did you honestly think a plastic set was free? LED displays are FREE?

So what did the initial $2000, discounted to $1850 resto price ACTUALLY cover if it didn't include these pieces? Plactics are ~$300.00 and posts are dirt cheap

http://www.cootersgarage.com/ is available. That would at least clear up his URL issue.

I spit my coffee at my monitor after seeing this post. You made my day. I can now start my Christmas break with a smile!

End this so we can get back to work.

...or in some cases, go HOME from work!!!!

Wow. This thread reminds me of when I binge-watched Breaking Bad on Netflix a few years ago..

Anyone ever think that maybe the game was restored in the first 3-6 months, and has been played regularly and enjoyed for the last 2+ years by the restoration company?
