Quoted from NiftyLED:Im fine with this - have op send a neutral 3rd party with cash to pick it up... im so done...
Yeah, like YOU'RE the one being taken advantage of.

I'll take the money!
Quoted from Sticky:I'll do $2800 and $5 to chip in for a nice beer for you.
This is a much better offer than Nifty deserves. If he doesn't agree to that, I guess he's just hellbent on self-destruction and wants others to suffer in the process.
Edit: nevermind! Looks like sanity prevails.
Quoted from yancy:This is a much better offer than Nifty deserves. If he doesn't agree to that, I guess he's just hellbent on self-destruction and wants others to suffer in the process.
He doesn't deserve anything and really people like this should not get away with it.
Maybe he can invest the extra $250 in some books on business ethics?
Quoted from FrankJ:End this so we can get back to work.
...or in some cases, go HOME from work!!!!
Quoted from Sticky:He doesn't deserve anything and really people like this should not get away with it.

Quote of the year on Pinside! This, my man, is very very true...
Quoted from FrankJ:Come on Sticky! You can do it! End this so we can get back to work.
It's over. I'll have some guys sent with the cash to his Corona address today.
I'm being as calm and civil as possible I think all things considering.

Oh, you're going to load the machine for him? And take the loss if you accidentally drop it? Otherwise I think he'll need at least two. Maybe 3.
At this point do not go alone to collect the machine( you need two people anyway to load)
and have someone video tape the whole pick up and handing over the cash
and get a receipt , paid in full as agreed per invoice supplied !!!
sorry Daniel, but your so wrong in this one.
Quoted from Fezmid:Oh, you're going to load the machine for him? And take the loss if you accidentally drop it? Otherwise I think he'll need at least two. Maybe 3.
I will happily assist the one guy in loading the machine.
Sorry ive got a family and i do not need 10 unknown strangers in my house
Quoted from NiftyLED:One guy, ONE GUY.
NO FUCKING WAY I'd be showing up alone there.
Quoted from NiftyLED:I will happily assist the one guy in loading the machine.

Bet you'd feel differently if they clicked buy it now on the $5500 Ebay listing, eh?
Quoted from NiftyLED:One guy, ONE GUY.

I think Brock can handle it....
Quoted from bushz:The OP should be able to pick up his own machine. He's paying for it.
It's all good my SUV is actually closer to Corona than where I am and my car won't fit it.
It's fine.
Holy Christmas Miracle!
I hope you both learned from this: Anyone who has remodeled a home, restored a car, or messed around with pinball machines for others knows. 1: Get a deposit on work to be done 2: Get estimate and all additions to work signed off in writing/email 3: Never perform more work in advance of payment that is worth more than the item itself.
Yeah...send someone who can validate that the machine is in operating order and has what is being paid for to pick it up.
Have both parties sign a simple global release promising to cease communication about the issue, agree to no further damages, and show payment in full.
I need to get off this computer and work on my Pin*Bot now!
Quoted from PoMC:Has anyone said "ShiftyLED" yet? WAY too many posts to find out for myself.
I believe you are the first.
Quoted from Sticky:Bet you'd feel differently if they clicked buy it now on the $5500 Ebay listing, eh?
If i were you id end the snarky remarks and focus on pick up. You have both agreed. Now get it done!

I see we're down to serious business now.
Ok, ok.
Quoted from Sticky:I see we're down to serious business now.
Ok, ok.
yup, make it happen and then lets see the photos of this game
Glad to see you guys could come to an agreement.
Quoted from pinbum:Pickup game now, then sell it to me for like $2,900.
It's got quite a bit of sentimental value...
Quoted from o-din:Hey Nifty, I'll still do your smog check for you. I don't hold any grudges.
Oh you cheap bastard!
Anyone ever think that maybe the game was restored in the first 3-6 months, and has been played regularly and enjoyed for the last 2+ years by the restoration company?
Quoted from Seatmandan:Anyone ever think that maybe the game was restored in the first 3-6 months, and has been played regularly and enjoyed for the last 2+ years by the restoration company?
Funny you say that, I was thinking that same thing back on page #2 or #3....
also why is it at Nifty's house and not his shop?!??!?!?
Quoted from NiftyLED:I will happily assist the one guy in loading the machine.

nyone ever think that maybe the game was restored in the first 3-6 months, and has been played regularly and enjoyed for the last 2+ years by the restoration company
Quoted from FrankJ:I know you are upset and it’s easier said than done considering the emotional roller coaster of the last few hours but... I’d pay the $3000 to have my game back now. I could enjoy it over the holidays and not let this fester for several more months. How long is the backup for small claims court - 6 months? Longer?
The dude has a bulldog and a big TV. This shit is small potatoes for him.
It's not about the money at this point bro!
Quoted from Sticky:I'll do $2800 and $5 to chip in for a nice beer for you.
I really would like this guy to have to face justice though.
Nifty...please for the love of all that is holy, take him up on this offer.
He's gonna come back with "throw in a bag of Cool Ranch and I'll consider it."
